Christopher Nolan's movie The Odyssey and as development on a fourth Spider-Man movie continues.

While speaking with Men's Health, Holland reveals that he will quit acting when he has children. He discusses how he will enjoy being a father and golfing when this happens, as he steps away from the entertainment industry. Holland clarifies that his current venture of promoting Bero, his new line of non-alcoholic beers, is a ion project and has nothing to do with him leaving Hollywood. He also emphasizes that he is still happy to be playing Spider-Man. Check out Holland's comments below:

When I have kids, you will not see me in movies anymore. Golf and dad. And I will just disappear off the face of the earth.

What This Means For Tom Holland

He Continues To Prioritize What Is Important As His Successful Career Continues

As evidenced by his year-long acting break after starring in The Crowded Room, Holland is conscious of doing what is best for his mental health. That is set to continue when he has children, with Holland wanting his primary focus to be on his children instead of having his focus be torn between his personal and professional lives. While this would be longer than his year-long break after The Crowded Room, it may not be a permanent retirement, as he could decide to return to acting when his children are older.

However, this acting break does not seem to be happening any time soon. Holland will be busy with movies for the time being in the casts of Spider-Man 4 and Nolan's The Odyssey, with both major blockbusters slated to release in theaters in July 2026. He is also confirmed to be starring in American Speed alongside Austin Butler. While not confirmed, the chances of Holland appearing as Spider-Man in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars are high given the character's importance to the MCU and his prominence in previous Avengers movies.

While the prospect of the talented Holland leaving acting for an extended period of time is disappointing, his reason for doing so is heartwarming.
