With the Marvel movie on the horizon for an October 2024 release, more than ever has become clear about the film and its story, including the actors who are set to appear within it. Though the full roster isn't yet known, the selection of faces confirmed for the Venom: The Last Dance cast certainly suggest the Marvel antihero trilogy will be able to go out in suitable style, properly commemorating the series' six-year history.

Tom Hardy As Eddie Brock/Venom

• Active Since: 1998

Actor: Tom Hardy is one of the most interesting actors working today, taking on a plethora of off-beat characters throughout his career. Early on, he landed roles in Star Trek: Nemesis and Band of Brothers. It was when he started with Christopher Nolan that his career really took off, starring in Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, and Dunkirk.

Character: Tom Hardy once again reprises his role as Eddie Brock and Venom for Venom: The Last Dance. Hardy has been the beating heart of this franchise since the beginning, and it is possible that this final film will be the last time we see him as the character. Venom and Eddie Brock have grown closer throughout the series, and Venom: The Last Dance promises even more of what made their first two outings work.

Peggy Lu As Mrs. Chen

• Active Since: 1995

Actor: Peggy Lu is an actor, but also a pharmacist, making her unique in the Hollywood landscape. Her acting roles are a bit sparse, but she has appeared in various projects like Kung Pow: Enter The Fist, Always Be My Maybe, and multiple movies in Sony's Spider-Man Universe.

Character: Peggy Lu comes back once again as Mrs. Chen, the convenience store owner that sparks up a friendship with Eddie Brock and Venom. She has appeared in all three Venom movies, and was even featured in part of the multiverse with her cameo in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

Juno Temple As Dr. Payne

• Active Since: 1997

Actor: Juno Temple has been active since the late 90s, but her roles in the mid-2000s really stand out, like Atonement. Still, she is most widely known for her roles in Ted Lasso and Fargo. She has also appeared in Vinyl, The Three Musketeers, Year One, and The Dark Knight Rises, which Tom Hardy starred in as well.

Notable Movies and TV Shows:

Character: Dr. Payne is working at Area 55, a secret location beneath Area 51, studying symbiotes. She has a tragic backstory involving her twin brother who dreamed of being a scientist at Area 51 and is working with symbiotes throughout the film. Her work eventually leads to a number of people bonding to various symbiotes.

Chiwetel Ejiofor As Rex Strickland

• Active Since: 1995

Actor: Chiwetel Ejiofor already has a familiarity with playing a Marvel character in Doctor Strange and its sequel, as Baron Mordo. Outside his appearances in the MCU, however, Ejiofor has a vast resume. For his role in 12 Years a Slave, Ejiofor received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. Other notable films of Ejiofor's include Children of Men, Salt, The Martian, and the voice of Scar in 2019's The Lion King remake.

Character: Like Dr. Payne, Rex Strickland is also working for Area 55 as its military leader. After hearing about Knull coming, he wants to destroy the codex - and to do that, either Eddie Brock or Venom have to die.

Stephen Graham As Detective Patrick Mulligan

• Active Since: 1990

Actor: Stephen Graham has been a working actor since the early 90s, appearing in a number of movies and television shows over the years. He was cast in Snatch in 2000, and eventually broke through with his role in This is England. Stephen Graham is perhaps most widely known for playing Al Capone for a significant portion of Boardwalk Empire.

Character: At the end of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Detective Mulligan gets a symbiote, teasing his return in Venom: The Last Dance as Toxin, though he actually gets another symbiote in the new film. His symbiote is able to see the future, and he knows that Knull is coming to destroy them.

Andy Serkis As Knull

• Active Since: 1985

Actor: Andy Serkis has been a prolific actor for several decades and helped to pioneer motion-capture performances with his roles in Lord of the Rings, King Kong, and Planet of the Apes. He is also no stranger to comic book adaptations, portraying characters in Black Panther and The Batman. His small, but emotionally brilliant role in Andor is one of the best performances in all of Star Wars.

Notable Movies and TV Shows:

Character: Andy Serkis plays Knull in the film, the creator of the symbiotes. He is the god of the void, betrayed by his symbiotes who imprisoned him there. A codex is the key to his freedom, so he sends the Xenophages to Earth in an attempt to search for it. Though his role is limited, Knull is positioned as the next big threat for Sony's Spider-Man Universe.

Venom: The Last Dance ing Cast & Characters

Rhys Ifans as Area 51 Roadtripper: Ifans doesn't have a significant role in the film, but his family picks up Eddie and Venom on their way to Area 51, because he thinks aliens are cool. Rhys Ifans notably played Dr. Curt Connors - also known as the Lizard - in The Amazing Spider-Man, and reprized this role for Spider-Man: No Way Home, previously leading to theories about whether his Venom role was connected to these prior appearances.

Cristo Fernández as the Bartender: Cristo Fernández's character first appeared in the end-credits scene for Spider-Man: No Way Home, as the bartender that listens to Eddie Brock and Venom's stories. He returns for the final film in the trilogy. Fernández is also known for playing Dani Rojas in Ted Lasso.

Otis Winston as Donald the Security Guard: Otis Winston is a seasoned actor, playing small roles in a variety of movies and television, including the first two Venom films. He was also in the action-thriller, Plane.
