February 12th brings another fairly difficult Wordle's transition to the New York Times didn't come without a few hiccups yesterday but people are still ing and playing this addictive word-guessing game. Using a one-puzzle-a-day method, Wordle has kept players coming back day after day.
Wordle challenges players to guess a single five-letter word within six chances. Played on a 5x6 grid, players choose a starting word and the game will provide information by highlighting certain letters green if they are correct, yellow if they are correct but in the wrong spot, or grey if they are not in the word at all. Using this knowledge players need to try again until the correct answer is solved. Wordle also provides a 'Hard Mode' which can be turned on in the options menu. This mode adds extra rules to the game and forces players to use letters that have been shown to be correct, it also stops them from reusing incorrect letters.
Players can share their daily Wordle answer attempts on social media through a function on the website. Clicking the green 'Share' button after successfully, or unsuccessfully, guessing the word will automatically copy the attempt to the player's clipboard. This includes each attempt, represented by simple emoji boxes, and doesn't actually reveal the answer so as not to spoil it for others. This simple method of sharing the player's journey through the game has drawn more and more people to play, filling up Twitter and Facebook with tiny yellow and green boxes.

Wordle 238 Answer (February 12)
If the hints didn't give it away, today's Wordle for February 12th is ULTRA. The use of a less common vowel could have stumped a few players who missed yesterday's puzzle, so a solid Wordle starting word is essential to success. For this particular puzzle we began with 'ROAST' which provided the three letters 'R', 'A', and 'T' in the wrong positions. The next guess used was 'EXTRA' providing the correct placement for the previously incorrect letters. This easily led to the correct answer as there is no other word available based on the previously omitted letter.
Wordle continues to be a big hit through 2022 with its daily puzzle that anyone can enjoy. It's the perfect start to the morning or can provide an enjoyable short break in the middle of a workday.
