February 17th’s Wordle answer was relatively easy to guess if players used the correct combination of words. Wordle has exploded as a daily puzzle game worldwide for its simple rules. Players have to guess a five-letter word in six attempts or less, all while only getting a visual hint. Wordle uses a random word for the daily answer every 24 hours, and many times some of them can be hard to guess.
Wordle’s rules are simple to follow as the game hints players with visual cues. For example, when a player uses a word, the game will respond by changing the box's color to either green or yellow. When a box’s color turns green, it means that the letter within that box is being used in today’s Wordle answer and is also in the right spot. However, if players are greeted with a yellow box, that means the letter in that box is being used in the answer but is not in the correct place. If a box's color does not change, it means that particular letter is not being used anywhere in today's answer.
After attempting the puzzle, players can share their progress on social media websites like Twitter and Facebook. It’s worth pointing out that when players share their progress on social media, it does not spoil today’s Wordle answer. When players click on the “Share” button, the action will copy color-coded emoji boxes and not the actual answer. Once shared, other Wordle players will be able to understand how close or far a player was from guessing the answer. This social aspect of sharing their progress on social media has made the game popular and has become a part of their daily routine for many players.

If the above hints didn’t point players to the correct answer, today’s Wordle answer is SHAKE. When trying to guess today’s answer, the first word we used was “BRAVE,” which revealed two letters being used in the right spot. In the second attempt, the word “SHAPE” was a perfect word to use as it showed two more letters being used in the correct spot. Once we knew four letters’ boxes turned green, we could easily solve today’s Wordle answer “SHAKE.”
