Where To Watch Fool’s Paradise

You’ll follow a plot more twisted than the yellow brick road to Oz when you learn how to watch Fool’s Paradise, now distributed on home media by Lionsgate. Audiences gave the film mixed reviews, some describing it as having many funny cameos but with the rather strange choice of typically shrill comedic actor Charlie Day playing a mute character in his own movie. But for those who enjoy a good Hollywood satire on the line of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood only less moody and meaningful and more peppered with laughs, learning where to watch Fool’s Paradise just might make a rainy summer weekend a little brighter.

You can watch Fool’s Paradise right now by streaming on Prime Video or your choice of several other platforms.

Charlie Day — after recently voicing the character of Luigi in Super Mario Bros — makes his directorial debut by aiming a spotlight at his own industry in Fool’s Paradise. According to the It's Always Sunny actor/director, the idea of making a film about a mute character who accidentally becomes a Hollywood star occurred to him over a decade ago.

What is a producer to do when the famous method actor starring as Billy the Kid in his new movie won’t come out of his trailer and onto the set? What any producer worth his salt in Hollywood would do — grab the first guy off the street who looks like the actor as a stand-in because the show must go on. But what if that guy happens to be a mentally-challenged mute recently released from a state hospital due to lack of funding? And also, what if he can’t stop looking at the camera during his scenes? In true Hollywood frivolity, the unknown replacement actor — now known to all as Latte Pronto due to an on-set misunderstanding — finds instant fame for his unusual acting “techniques.”

When a publicist takes Latte under his wings in a rise to stardom the pair develops an unexpected friendship. But will a series of misunderstandings land Latte back on the streets or catapult him into an unexpected political career?
