Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Invincible season 3, episode 7!
Conquest and Mark Grayson's fight is one of the most memorable parts of the Invincible comics, meaning that the show had to ensure that Conquest's voice matched his reputation.
Invincible season 3, episode 7 tackles the long-awaited Invincible War storyline, in which Angstrom Levy brings evil Mark Graysons from other universes to Invincible's main universe. The army of Invincibles wreaks havoc on the world of Mark Grayson, leveling cities and killing tons of main characters. After fighting through the army of Invincibles, however, Mark realizes that the fight is far from over. Just as he thinks he can rest, Mark Grayson is confronted by another massive threat: Conquest.
Conquest Is Voiced By The Walking Dead's Jeffrey Dean Morgan
It Isn't The Only Superhero Show He's Been In
The voice of Conquest is another major addition to Invincible's voice cast, with it being The Walking Dead's Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is most well-known for playing Negan in the hit AMC series, although he has also appeared in projects like Supernatural and Grey's Anatomy. The actor has also appeared in multiple superhero projects, with him having roles in 2009's Watchmen as well as the Amazon Prime Video series The Boys.

Invincible Season 3 Has Finally Stopped Ignoring Season 2's Best New Hero
Invincible season 2 introduced one of the show's best superheroes, but after being sidelined in season 3, episode 6 finally gave them the spotlight.
Conquest's grizzled exterior needed a voice to match it, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a fantastic pick. The actor is known for playing rough and tough characters, and in a world full of characters like that, Conquest is one of the roughest. Fans have done tons of speculating regarding who will be voicing Conquest, so it is nice to finally have a definitive answer.
Invincible's Conquest Casting Continues The Show's Connection To The Walking Dead
They Have Referenced Each Other A Lot
Invincible has had a lot of connections to The Walking Dead, and having the actor who plays Negan appear in the show only continues this. Invincible writer Robert Kirkman also wrote The Walking Dead comics, with the two franchises sharing a common creator. Because of this, both shows are constantly refrencing each other, with it even being proposed that Invincible and The Walking Dead could share a universe.

Invincible's Title Card Gag Has Been Running Since The Start, But Season 3 Just Had The Best One Yet
Invincible's title card gag has become one of the show's most iconic traditions, and season 3 just implemented it perfectly into the story.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan is far from the first The Walking Dead actor to appear in Invincible. All kinds of actors from the AMC series have appeared in the Amazon Prime Video superhero show, including Steven Yeun, the voice of Invincible protagonist Mark Grayson. The Walking Dead and Invincible share a lot of DNA, with these similarities even affecting the show's Conquest storyline.
