About Isaac Rouse
Isaac is the Senior Anime Reporter for ScreenRant and has over 10 years of experience reporting film, TV, gaming, and anime content. After his studies at Mercy University, he spent a year as an intern for AOL before becoming an Associate Editor for HYPEBEAST, building the Gaming, Tech, and Entertainment verticals for the site. He also wrote for PCMag, Laptop Magazine, and Tom’s Hardware before becoming an Editor for TV Insider.
He also streams gameplay (mostly RPGs) on his Twitch channel, JokermanUno. But if you can’t make it live, you can watch the VODs on his YouTube channel, JokermanUno, where he talks movies, television, and reads the One Piece manga live. He’s also the host of his podcast, Ike’s Boom Boom Room, where he talks about gaming and the industry at large.
Industry Focus
Isaac has been a professional writer since 2010, writing for several gaming, tech, and pop culture sites. He is also a professional screenwriter, with aspirations to write the next big horror flick. These days, he's reporting on his first love since he was a boy: the world of anime.
Favorite Media
Without a steady combination of Dragon Ball Z, Martin, and the classic Twilight Zone series in his youth, Isaac Rouse would not be the man he is today. His favorite movie of all time is Shaun of the Dead, as it fits into his two favorite genres of film: comedy and horror.
However, if he needs a good laugh, he'll watch Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy or the original Halloween if he needs a good scare.
He would be remiss to not mention how profoundly Attack on Titan and One Piece have shaped his adult life.
When he's not watching with his eyeballs, he's listening with his earholes. If he's not enjoying Linkin Park or Slipknot, he's listening to beats by Knxwledge or Mndsgn--maybe even some Trance music. Otherwise, he's making music of his own with FL Studio.
But if he needs to shut his mind off, you can find him playing newer titles or his favorite RPGs like Final Fantasy X or the first two Kingdom Hearts games.
