After Asta s the Black Bulls, Magna begins the day by showing him all the areas in the base, from the cafeteria to the baths, the guarded corridor to the women’s dorms, and Yami’s magical beast pets, who almost eat him. But as they went to see the toilet, they encountered an angry Yami, who threatened to kill them, with Asta and Magna running away in panic.

This is the first of Yami’s toilet gimmicks, which became one of the running gags in Black Clover. If Yami is not on the battlefield, he is often in the bathroom for a long time, even ditching his responsibilities. This shows that the Black Bull's captain Yami Sukehiro, should maybe incorporate more fiber into his diet, and that, despite being one of the strongest mages, he is also responsible for creating many hilarious moments in the series.

Gauche has a highly questionable sister complex, but Gordon and Grey suffer as extreme introverts. So, when the three of them are left alone to guard the headquarters, a friendly conversation becomes a difficult task with Grey stuttering her words and Gordon incomprehensibly mumbling.

Gordon tries to bond with Gauche over a shared interest, showing his collection of handmade dolls of the Black Bull , which creates a humorous scene as they are not only terrifying as cursed voodoo dolls, but also highlights the creepiness that he always carries them around. Gordon’s attempt to smile also goes wrong, but their interaction cements them as a great trio of socially inept but funny characters.

The Blue Roses conspire for Charlotte to get closer to Yami during dinner, but the Black Bulls’ captain is completely oblivious to her intentions. Yami lacks delicacy as he points out the time she spent in the bathroom, but she was receiving advice on how to gain his attention by accidentally touching him.

However, when both reach for the pepper at the same time and their hands touch, this is too much for Charlotte, who comically screams and jumps through the window, running from Yami. Yami is hurt as he thinks Charlotte acted out of disgust, but the way he always misinterpreted her actions is the funniest part of their dynamic. This interaction proves how their romance has a long way to go but also how even Black Clover filler episodes are enjoyable to watch.

Every anime fan enjoys a great training arc, and Charmy didn’t disappoint as she strived to sur her limits with a tough quest to level up her cooking skills. Under the guidance of Jamo, the magic knight headquarters’ chef, Charmy starts to gain stamina with unconventional but comical physical training, building her muscles with a frying pan before searching for three mysterious ingredients.

These ingredients not only have funny names, but Charmy’s quest takes her to dangerous places, traveling with her sheep through a desert, scaling a cliff, fishing in the sea, and battling against a snow monster in a serious fashion that only adds to the hilarity. Charmy makes it back alive and cooks the mana-enhancing food, which turns out incredibly ugly and unappetizing, making the Black Bulls reject eating it.

6 Yami’s 'Cute Pets'

The Magical Beasts Only Wanted to be Coddled—Episode 125

Hunting down Yami’s giant pets proved to not have been an easy task at all, as the magical beasts attacked the crew and almost ate them, one group at a time. With only Yami left unharmed, his call of nature, which he humorously describes as taming the final boss, is interrupted by the beasts going after him. Asta runs to help his captain, worried about his well-being, but he is hilariously surprised when he finds the feral beasts showing their love to Yami because all they wanted was his attention because they missed him.

Asta is moved to tears after the heartwarming memory of Yami adopting the puppy eyes' baby beasts, which showed that even the tough captain has a sweet side, only to quickly debunk that thought when he reveals that he always tries to abandon them because he considers them a pain, making the moment even funnier.

5 Mereoleona, The Kidnapping Lioness

Even Magic Knight Captains Can’t Escape Mereoleona - Episode 71

Mereoleona’s introduction confirms why she is so fearsome by showing no one can escape from her. Mereoleona is firm and strict and has a habit of disciplining others, even against their will. It’s obvious that to her everybody is lacking some nice corrections on a not-so-relaxing hot spring in a volcano, starting with Asta and Yuno. Meroleona also meets Yami, who, after sharing a hilarious list of Vermilion’s family nickname conjugations, becomes another prey of the lioness.

After also adding Charlotte to the abducted list, along with her subordinate Sol, and Noelle, who arrive at the worst time, the scene becomes comedy gold with Yuno whining about not being that type of character, Noelle's romantic delusions with Asta, and the unfazed Mereoleona squishing all her hostages through the door.

4 Finral Sent Sekke to the Most Dangerous Place

Sekke Has the Worst Luck in Black Clover—Episode 80

During the Royal Knights selection exam, Finral is facing Langris and Sekke, presenting his newly developed spell. This spell makes Sekke disappear once it touches his protective magic cannonball, and Finral reveals that he was warped somewhere else. However, no viewer could have expected that the place that Finral sent Sekke was Yami’s bathroom just as the Black Bulls’ captain was using it, who gave him a fearsome look before threatening to kill him.

This is an irony, as Finral said before, he didn’t learn any offensive spells, and sending his opponent to Yami could be the most lethal attack of all. Additionally, this shows how Sekke evolves from just an annoying extra to one of the funniest comedic relief characters in Black Clover, who viewers can't help but pity because of his bad luck.

3 Charmy’s Thirst for Revenge

Charmy’s Anger Is More Dangerous Than Her Hunger—Episode 105

After Gauche is possessed by an elf, a powerful and threatening presence approaches the wrecked base, which puts the crew on high alert, but it turns out to be an angry Charmy. The Black Bulls believe Charmy was also turned into an elf, but she is just hungry, with her stomach making a terrifying sound and with sauce muddy on her face.

However, Charmy is furious that her garden, which she put so much effort into taking care of, was destroyed. Funnily, Charmy is out for revenge and wants to know the culprit of her veggies' assassination. Although it was mostly due to Henry turning the base into a giant bull, the crew blames the elves, redirecting Charmy’s rage. This amusing scene shows that Charmy is even more intimidating than the Eye of the Midnight Sun followers and that the Black Bulls shouldn’t get on her bad side.

2 Charlotte’s Mad Running

Charlotte Can’t Outrun Her Feelings for Yami, but She Can Still Try—Episode 126

Charlotte Roselei is one of the funniest characters in Black Clover thanks to her inability to behave properly in front of Yami, as she can’t manage her immense love for him. This sparks some of the most comical overreactions from the Blue Rose Squad Captain, with her competing against Flash’s speed being the most humorous one.

Yami goes to visit Charlotte in the hospital to ask her a question about the forbidden curse magic, but she mistakenly believes that he is aware of her feelings, and instead of finishing listening to what he is saying, she interrupts him with a scream and runs to the streets like her life depends on that. What makes the scene better is that Charlotte accidentally does several good deeds while running without noticing it, from saving a girl being harassed, an old lady from getting hit by a vase, and stopping a burglar.

Not Even Yami Can Tame the Beast—Episode 87

Mereoleona Vermillion arrives at the Black Bulls’ headquarters blowing the door like a force of nature, but considering her lioness epithet, Yami hilariously calls her a wild beast, giving an evacuation order to his crew and wildlife safety survival advice, even with the sound of an emergency siren. However, the new Crimson Lions captain’s reason for visiting was to give an appreciation token to Yami, whose purpose was lost in the process as she delivered the gift with threats, telling Yami that she would kill him with gratitude.

Mereoleona proceeds to drag Asta, Noelle, and Luck with her fire paws as they scream, fearing for their lives because of the trauma of the previous training session in a volcano, while Yami just says to them, he is fine as long as they are leaving. Meroleona's scenes and interactions are always hilarious, which makes her worthy of the funniest Black Clover moment.
