  • Himawari Uzumaki shows greater control over Ninetails Chakra than Naruto at her age.
  • Himawari's innate healing talent is boosted with Kurama's help.
  • Himawari could sur Naruto as a jinchuriki due to her raw power potential.

The Uzumaki clan continues to evolve in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, with its latest installment giving some much-needed focus to Himawari Uzumaki, Boruto's sister and Naruto's daughter. As the young teenager develops her kunoichi skills while the time-skip happens to usher in the current Boruto sequel series, she gets a surprise appearance from Kurama, the Nine-Tailed Fox spirit. With her new role as the latest Ninetails jinchuriki, Himawari is given increased prominence and numerous claims that she can attain power stronger than Naruto's.

Naruto Uzumaki is the previous jinchuriki who bore Kurama's spirit, initially shunned by society out of resentment for what the spirit did to the village and their Hokage. Naruto's presence was a constant reminder of the grim toll exacted on Konohagakure.

However, Kurama's power became one of Naruto's greatest assets, and now in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Himawari has a chance to channel that same Ninetails power. It's not a moment too soon, either, with Jura and other imminent threats threatening Himawari and her team.

Himawari Shows Greater Control Over Ninetails Chakra than Naruto

At 14, the Young Uzumaki Ninja Could Sur the Seventh Hokage

In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter #11, Himawari Uzumaki discovers and unleashes Kurama's power as the new Ninetails jinchuriki, with her most impressive feat perhaps being to form a Biju Bomb. This is incredible due not only to having just met Kurama, but also to how it implicitly means she can finesse the black chakra to white chakra ratio while remaining lucid. Naruto couldn't even exercise this level of control immediately, as shown in Naruto chapter #519. However, he later manifests the incredible Biju Bomb with Kurama's help in chapter #571, so perhaps Himawari will soon do the same.

Biju Bombs, or Tailed Beast Balls, are massively powerful projectiles with an 8:2 ratio of positive black and negative white chakra, upon which the Rasengan was based when Minato created the jutsu.

It's important to that Himawari only just discovered Kurama was present within her and that she could already use his abilities while only fourteen. Naruto fully tames Kurama by seventeen, only after years of turmoil and near-misses, including Kurama taking over his body, such as during the Pain's Assault Arc and as early as the Land of Waves Arc. A major factor to Himawari's advantages is that Kurama is willing to help her directly. He also confirms that Himawari has more affinity with him than Naruto.

Himawari's Healing Is Boosted in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex

Along with Being an Uzumaki, Himawari's Healing Talents Are Instantly Helpful

Along with manifesting a Biju Bomb, Himawari shows the Uzumaki clan's innate talent for self-healing and the healing of others in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter #11. She heals her broken leg and, perhaps more crucially, saves Inojin from his otherwise fatal impalement in chapter #10. The Uzumaki clan can normally achieve similar feats at the expense of great amounts of chakra, something that's no longer an issue thanks to Kurama's reserves within Himawari in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.

Having innate talents for both healing and immense offensive power and channeling a Biju's ultimate attack makes Himawari a strong candidate for suring Naruto, at least as a jinchuriki. As Himawari has not acquired Sage Mode or other enhanced modes through Kurama or the Sage of the Six Paths, she's not yet on the same ground as Naruto in his prime. But as Kurama notes, Himawari's ability to channel the Ninetails chakra has the greatest potential yet, promising raw power even greater than Naruto's in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.
