Toys For Bob, the developer behind the most recent Crash Bandicoot, Tony Hawk, HeXen All Likely To Return On XboxIn a tweet about the Toys For Bob "Wall of Games," the studio's Twitter shows off the 17 released titles it has developed. An 18th is present on the wall, but it's blacked out and covered in question marks. Toys For Bob wants the public to know that the team is working on something - but not exactly what that project is. Still, one detail about the announcement may reveal a bit more information, and even indicate that two giants of platforming could finally meet.

What Could A Crash Bandicoot-Spyro Crossover Look Like?

Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon

In 2021, Crash Bandicoot's voice actor teased a new project, and rumors about an game have circulated for quite some time. Now, Toys For Bob's recent tweet only provides more evidence. The most telling element is the color scheme of the teaser. Orange and purple together may look garish, but there could be good reason for this choice, as the colors are strongly associated with Crash and Spyro, respectively. It could be a deliberate hint towards a crossover between these two characters. While it's possible this is a mere coincidence, it seems unlikely. The Wall of Games is a deliberate teaser and Toys For Bob undoubtedly knows exactly what it's doing.

What exactly would a Crash-Spyro team-up look like? Some sort of 3D platformer seems most likely, but another rumor could shed more light - supposedly, a Crash Bandicoot came to Super Smash Brothers Ultimate by a fan-made mod.

This is largely speculation, of course. Whatever Toys For Bob's new project is, it's sure to be exciting. The developer's previous games, especially Skylanders, have been very successful, and now the studio has Microsoft's resources backing it. Leaders in the company have expressed interest in reviving older titles and characters, so players almost certainly haven't seen the last of either Spyro the Dragon or Crash Bandicoot.
