Two Elden Ring collector's editions were announced during a new and extensive gameplay stream for the highly-anticipated RPG. Among the contents of the Elden Ring editions is a statue of Malenia, a seemingly important yet mysterious character who will feature in the game. FromSoftware also announced Elden Ring pre-order bonuses during event. After roughly two years of secrecy, FromSoftware is finally gearing up to talk about and release Elden Ring, and a collector's edition's reveal helps cement the game's imminent release.
Over the summer, a brand new trailer for Elden Ring was released and gave the first real look at the game itself. The initial reveal from E3 2019 vaguely teased the world and premise but left many wondering what the game would entail. 2021's gameplay trailer allowed players to fully grasp what Elden Ring is and how it is distinctly different from other Soulsborne games. With as much anticipation as there is for the game, it looks like FromSoftware and publisher Bandai Namco are looking to capitalize on it.

The regular Elden Ring collector's edition leaked via a Twitch ad ahead of the live stream, but the Elden Ring pre-order bonuses and Bandai Namco store exclusive edition were kept a secret until the end of the gameplay preview. Elden Ring is currently one of the most anticipated games of 2022, as its helmed by Dark Souls and Bloodborne creator Hidetaka Miyazaki, one of the most renowned video game directors working today. Miyazaki also recruited the legendary George R.R. Martin to assist in fleshing out Elden Ring's world, The Lands Between, giving the game a much level of polish from an outside perspective.
With how much hype there was for Elden Ring before there was even a proper trailer to view, it's likely these collector's editions will be hot items. Elden Ring's developer seems to appreciate its fans and their patience, but the wait for Elden Ring and its editions isn't over yet. So far, it's unclear if these will be limited-quantity items or if they will be manufactured to match demand.
Elden Ring will be available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 25, 2022.
