A dedicated fake lore and a gameplay demo for Elden Ring while awaiting release, but on February 25 gamers will experience the FromSoftware epic for themselves.
Since the game's first trailer was released back in 2019, Elden Ring fans have been fascinated by an armored female warrior named Malenia. The mysterious red-haired character, originally referred to as The Valkyrie due to her winged helmet, is outfitted with a distinct prosthetic arm and large sword. The name of the instant fan-favorite was eventually revealed to be Malenia, Blade of Miquella, though her role in the open-world title's storyline remains a mystery. She does share similarities to the player's ally Melina, however, and one gameplay trailer suggests that Malenia will be an Elden Ring boss character at some point.
Just in time for the launch of Elden Ring, Reddit ExImryll has built an impressive recreation of Malenia's beautiful winged helmet. The now-iconic headgear sports a large grill, which is partially covered by an intricate lattice design, with the large wings jutting off the back. ExImryll brings the helmet to life in impressive detail, having remade every inch of the helmet as a 3D model before printing and painting it. The paint job perfectly reflects Malenia's rustic design, with the build serving as a perfect companion for any fan's first Elden Ring journey.

While ExImryll brought the iconic Elden Ring item to life as a custom build, some fans will soon get their hands on an official recreation of Malenia's helmet. The Elden Ring Collector's Edition includes a Malenia statue, allowing fans to display the intimidating warrior and her massive saber. The Bandai Namco Store-exclusive Collector's Edition, meanwhile, actually comes with a full-scale replica of Malenia's helmet for gamers unwilling to build it themselves. Both editions of the game put a heavy emphasis on Malenia and her gear, suggesting the mysterious Blade of Miquella will play a key role in the plot of Elden Ring.
Malenia has captivated FromSoftware fans since the first Elden Ring trailer, and on February 25 players can begin their journey toward finally meeting her. ExImryll's recreation of the one-armed warrior's helmet is extremely impressive, with the build bringing the winged headgear to life flawlessly. While the mysterious Malenia may be either friend or foe, ExImryll can now face her while wearing her own helmet for protection.
Elden Ring will release on February 25 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
