Over the weekend, Reddit beloved Elden Ring NPC promises all will be forgiven if the player walks away. Apparently, the real horror comes once the final blow is dealt and Miriel lets out a "sad scream" with a high pitch surprising for a being of the turtle's size. "I have to live with this on my soul now, don't do this. There is nothing to gain, and you lose not only the convenience of him, but you lose a part of yourself too," VG_Crimson said near the end of their post.
So that's what happens if you kill poor, innocent Miriel in Elden Ring. The Redditor additionally notes the game doesn't reward players with anything special once the deed is done. Expect some pieces of turtle neck meat and the bell bearing that allows you to continue purchasing goods from the Pastor's shop. In short, this seems to count as one NPC death that will do s no good in the end.
Since over 12 million people have purchased Elden Ring, it stands to reason that VG_Crimson isn't the only one to strike down Pastor Miriel.
