Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore already hinted at another Credence (Ezra Miller) identity twist through its "wings of water" title image. Fantastic Beasts 2 ended with the huge reveal of Credence Barebone being in fact Albus Dumbledore's (Jude Law) brother, Aurelius. But his identity as a Dumbledore is not yet confirmed, as Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp/Mads Mikkelsen) doesn't know about Leta Lestrange's (Zoë Kravitz) baby swap. The waterbird Fantastic Beasts 3 title image hints at another potential identity twist for Credence by making a direct reference to The Predictions of Tycho Dodonus.
The fact that Grindelwald doesn't know about the baby swap can mean a myriad of things: he could simply be lying about Credence's identity (manipulating him against Dumbledore), or he may think that Corvus Lestrange is indeed Aurelius Dumbledore, as Leta was the only person who knew Corvus drowned, and the first time she told the story to anyone was at the Lestrange mausoleum, the night she was killed by Grindelwald. However, it's also possible that Corvus somehow survived drowning in 1901, confirming the wizard and seer Tycho Dodonus' prophecy.
Tycho Dodonus' Prophecy 20 states: "A son cruelly banished/Despair of the daughter/Return, great avenger/With wings from the water." Corvus’ name means raven. If Credence is indeed Corvus and has survived drowning in the sea, it’s very likely he is the "wings from the water." However, if Credence's (or Aurelius') identity will be revealed as Corvus Lestrange, then he will have Yusuf Kama (William Nadylam) on his tail, as he made an Unbreakable Vow to his dying father to kill Corvus. The Fantastic Beasts 3 title image shows precisely the "wings from the water" from Dodonus' prophecy, indicating that Grindelwald might be only partially right (or simply wrong) about Credence's identity. Whatever the case, viewers look to be in for one more Credence twist in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.
One the name Remus Lupin, for example, is a combination of the legend of Romulus and Remus and the Latin word for "wolf"). If the theory is correct then Aurelius Dumbledore is Corvus, coming back from the water to avenge his bloodline - but this may be the Dumbledore (not the Lestrange) bloodline.
Tycho Dodonus' prophecy could apply to Aurelius: he's the youngest Dumbledore child, unacknowledged by the family, and sent to live in America (a "son cruelly banished"). "Despair of the daughter" could refer to Ariana's tragic attack and death. But the "wings from the water" line only makes sense if he survived drowning and is thus Corvus (as Credence was in Irma Dugard's care). The Fantastic Beasts 2 Credence twist had a major effect not only on the prequel franchise but on the Harry Potter canon as a whole, and Fantastic Beasts 3 needs to clarify Credence's identity in order to avoid the negative the second installment received. Luckily, the movie's title image seems to be confirming just that.
