In The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive #2 by Kenny Porter, Juan Ferreyra, and Steve Wands from Marvel Comics, Barry Allen struggles with balancing his work life and being a superhero. As The Flash learns more about his powers on the fly, the Ezra Miller version of the character deals with the Monteleone crime family, who is having a different kind of power struggle, as the villain Tarpit usurps his brother and tries to control the criminal enterprise. However, when The Flash is called into action to face Tarpit, he suddenly starts phasing through random things as he can't control his powers.
Ezra Miller's The Flash Learns How To Control His Classic Power
Despite initially panicking about being able to phase through walls and random objects, The Flash uses his scientific prowess to learn how to start to control his molecule shifting and phasing powers. The comic ends with Ezra Miller's Flash defeating Tarpit with his emerging powers and later phasing through a vault to stop a group of criminals. While his powers aren't perfected, Barry Allen works to make them manageable.
While Ezra Miller's version of The Flash is still learning on the job, it's cool to see him add a classic power from his DC Comics counterpart. Phasing has always been one of The Flash's most impressive and valuable powers, so to see him learn how to properly control the ability as he juggles finding a balance between being a hero and his work-life makes for an entertaining story.
