Warning! Potential spoilers for The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive #1 by DC Comics

DC Comics artist Juan Ferreyra is denying recent reports that the Ezra Miller-starring The Flash tie-in comic, The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive, has been canceled by the publisher. With reports suggesting DC was canceling the book possibly related to Miller's recent reported incidents and the movie moving to 2023, Ferreyra confirmed the comic is just changing dates so there isn't as big of a gap between the DCEU movie and tie-in comic.

The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive is an limited series comic from DC Comics by Kenny Porter, Juan Ferreyra, Ricardo Lopez, and Jason Howard, starring Ezra Miller's Flash from the DCEU. The three-issue in-canon comic book is set to take place before the The Flash movie by Andy Muschietti and will feature The Flash teaming up and being trained by Batman as he takes on a new villain named the Girder. The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive #1 was initially scheduled for an April 26, 2022 release, and despite recent reports, it's not being canceled but instead moved to a later date to bring it closer to the also-recently moved DCEU film.

On Tuesday, canned after Warner Bros reportedly put his projects on pause. However, the comic isn't canceled, as artist Juan Ferreyra denied the report, suggesting the book was moving to later in the year to be closer to the release date of the delayed The Flash movie.

Comic retailer The Ezra Miller-starring comic is very much in the works.

No matter what's happening with Ezra Miller and his future as The Flash in the DCEU, DC Comics isn't shelving the new project as reports seemed to indicate, as the publisher has offered a firm denial surrounding the rumor. Instead, DC is moving the project to later this year so that there's not much of a gap between the comic and the recently-moved DCEU film, which makes perfect sense. The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive #1 is coming to comic book stores in October. The Flash film is set for a 2023 release.
