While she loved to study and read and spend time alone, Rory Gilmore was always very chatty on Gilmore Girls when she was with her mom, friends, or current love interest. She often had an opinion, from lighter subjects such as junk food and pop culture to more serious topics like her mom's difficult relationship with Emily and Richard.

Over seven seasons and a Netflix revival, Rory said many perfect quotes that were hilarious, wise, or a combination of both. This beloved character delivered several statements that are easy to relate to, from discussing her love life to how much she loved reading.

"I just don't want to do or say anything else that's gonna be remotely moronic."

Some season 1 storylines feel dated now, but not the episode "Kiss And Tell."

This episode will always be a favorite, as Lorelai asked Dean to her and Rory's movie night, and Rory was slowly adjusting to her new relationship. When Rory got nervous, she talked to her mom in the kitchen and said that she was scared of saying the wrong thing. Lorelai said that everyone sounded like a "moron" around their crush and that it was totally normal. Fans could relate to Rory here, as everyone gets nervous when going on a first date or navigating those early days of a new romance.

"One of those moments that everything is so perfect and so wonderful that you almost feel sad because nothing can ever be this good again."

Rory and Dean shared a flawless anniversary evening in the season 1 episode "Star Crossed Lovers and Other Strangers."

Rory remarked that she couldn't believe how great the night was, and people can definitely relate to her worry that the moment would slip away too soon. A sad truth of life is that while the bad times don't last, the good times don't, either, and everything is always changing. But that just means it's important to savor those fantastic moments, and Rory was great at living in the present and appreciating the people she was with.

"I live in two worlds. One is a world of books."

Fans of Rory Gilmore can relate to her bookworm tendencies and it was great to hear her articulate why reading is such a relaxing form of entertainment. Rory explained, "I've been a resident of Faulkner's Yoknapatawpha County, hunted the white whale aboard the Pequod, fought alongside Napoleon, sailed a raft with Huck and Jim, committed absurdities with Ignatius J. Reilly, rode a sad train with Anna Karenina and strolled down Swann's Way." This was a sweet moment when Rory said what every book lover is always thinking: that the pleasures of reading are wonderful.

"Once we tried to make a cake entirely out of frosting, which turned out to be better in theory than in actual execution."

Rory threw a massive birthday party for Lorelai and went to Fran Westin to order the cake. Fran wanted to double-check how big the cake would be: "So that's a four-foot chocolate cake with individual vanilla cupcakes on top spelling out Happy 16th Birthday, Lorelai?"

Rory explained that her mom was such a big fan of frosting that they tried to make a "frosting cake." This is not only a hilarious quote but a relatable one, too. Who hasn't tried to get creative in the kitchen and ended up with a disaster? Sometimes flavor combinations sound good and they don't work at all, or a hybrid of two popular dishes falls flat.

"If I had known sports were so much about eating, I would’ve come to a lot more of these."

Lane and Rory on Gilmore Girls

There are two types of people: sports fans and those who don't can't stand them. It's clear that Lorelai and Rory were never big on either watching or playing a game.

In the season 3 episode "Face Off," Rory and Lane went to a hockey game, and Rory commented that she was thrilled there was so much food available. Lane replied, "There’s something deeply satisfying about watching other people exercise while eating junk food." Rory definitely said what everyone is always thinking here: it can be fun to watch sports, whether IRL or on TV, and eat a ton.

"What do you mean what am I doing? I'm ranting! You should recognize it, I learned it from you."

Lorelai and Rory fight on Gilmore Girls

It was hilarious when Rory said this to Lorelai, as it was true that Lorelai was always famous for her spirited and ionate monologues.

Rory and her mom had much in common, including the ability to take a subject and rant about it for at least a good few minutes. Everyone is entitled to a rant every now and then, so fans can relate to this quote, as Rory was upset and needed to get something off her chest. Sometimes that's the best way to handle a bad day or tough situation.

"You never socialized me properly. I should hate you right now. Do something to make me hate you."

Rory and Lorelai laughing at Yale in Gilmore Girls

In the season 4 episode "The Lorelais' First Day At Yale," Lorelai stayed with Rory for the first night and showed everyone how to find junk food.

Rory got really nervous about being left alone at college, as the importance of the moment started to sink in. She told her mom that she wasn't sure that she knew how to be social or get along with others. This was so relatable, as everyone gets nervous in new situations, whether the first day of school, starting a new job, or going on a date.

"I told him that that night was special and that I wasn't sorry it happened...but he's married, and he has to figure out his life, so I said that I was going to make it easier for him...and take myself out of the mix."

Rory and Dean in Gilmore Girls

Fans watched Rory decide to sleep with Dean when he was married, and in this season 5 scene, she told Lorelai that she wrote Dean a letter. She was finally showing her maturity and understanding of the situation, as she knew that it was wrong to get involved.

Viewers always thought that Rory should leave Dean alone since their relationship was long over, and it was satisfying to hear her finally it that it was time to let him go.

"I'm wasting my time, partying and drinking, just 'hanging out' doing nothing!"

Rory and Logan look at each other and smile

In the sixth season, Rory realized that she had messed up by dropping out of Yale, and she became very upset that her life wasn't following the path she wanted. She started talking to Logan about how she felt, but he wasn't ive or understanding, as he felt offended by her words.

While not everyone has found themselves in her exact situation, since she also stole a boat, everyone can relate to the feeling of being behind everyone else and not knowing what the future holds.

"You were the greatest boyfriend alive. You were generous and protective and kind and strong..."

"That as much as I wish we'd met when I was older and more mature, I know that if I hadn't had you with me when I did, I wouldn't be the person I am today. You taught me what safe feels like."

When Rory bumped into Dean at Doose's market in the revival A Year In The Life, she told him how much he meant to her and how much she had loved him. She wanted his permission to write about their love story in the book that she was writing, and while he was hesitant at first, he seemed to like this answer.

Fans know that Dean was a nice partner for Rory to have, and it was great to hear her reflect on their time together, which definitely taught her a lot.
