Ginny & Georgia season 1 provides audiences with romance, drama, mysteries, and above all, plenty of unanswered questions. The show's second season seems to be inching closer to release, given the recent updates from showrunner Sarah Lampert, meaning fans could receive a continuation of Ginny & Georgia’s story very soon. With all the buzz being generated about the Ginny & Georgia season 2, questions on what the season will be about are arising.

Ginny & Georgia season 1 followed characters Ginny, Georgia, and Austin as they moved to the New England town of Wellsbury for a new start after the death of Georgia’s husband, Kenny. Wellsbury did not live up to its initial perfection on the surface, however, as Ginny became embroiled in boy drama, Austin had issues fitting in at school, and Georgia’s dark past began to follow Ginny & Georgia's characters. With a PI arriving in town with questions about Georgia, there was plenty of unresolved drama in Ginny & Georgia to warrant a second season.

Ginny & Georgia’s season 1 finale completely shook up the show’s dynamic, with Ginny’s core group of friends having a major falling out, Georgia’s past getting closer to being revealed, and Ginny and Austin running away from Wellsbury. As a result of all these loose ends left at the end of season 1, the show’s second season has plenty of issues that need to be addressed. Here are all the biggest questions that must be explored in Ginny & Georgia season 2.

Where Are Ginny And Austin Going?

After being approached about her mother’s past by Gabriel Cordova, the PI who had been following Georgia throughout season 1, Ginny and Austin fled Wellsbury at the end of the season finale. Ginny never stated where she and her brother were heading, and since they stole a motorcycle to make their escape, the possibilities were nearly endless. Whether they are going to find Ginny’s father, Zion, heading to Atlanta (since Ginny took Georgia’s leather jacket from her bike gang days), or somewhere else entirely, their whereabouts are one of the biggest questions that Ginny & Georgia season 2 must answer.

Will Paul Find Out About Georgia's Past?

Scott Porter in Ginny & Georgia Season 1 on Netflix

Georgia’s past is one of her most closely guarded secrets that she keeps throughout Ginny & Georgia season 1, but will her past come out now that she is engaged to Paul? Though Georgia has kept any evidence from her past hidden, it was easily discovered by Ginny and Austin at different points in season 1, so it is only a matter of time before Paul discovers her secrets too. Ginny had mentioned that Paul seemed different from Georgia’s past beaus, so will Georgia tell Paul about her past herself? Will he discover details of Georgia’s past himself, or could Cordova approach Paul as he did with Ginny during the season 1 finale? Regardless of how Georgia’s past is revealed, it is almost inevitable that Paul will somehow be pulled into the tangled mess of secrets in season 2.

Will Cordova Continue Pursuing Georgia?

Private Investigator Gabriel Cordova speaks to Ginny at Blue Farm Cafe in Ginny & Georgia

Gabriel Cordova spent Ginny & Georgia season 1 investigating Georgia’s involvement in the death of her recently-deceased husband, Kenny. Georgia was aware of his pursuits, and at the end of season 1 of the Netflix show, she revealed to him that any physical evidence of her involvement in Kenny’s death had been destroyed, which seemingly ended Cordova’s arc in Wellsbury. However, at the end of the season finale, Cordova received information regarding the disappearance of Georgia’s first husband. Will Cordova keep pursuing Georgia’s case even though he was hired to investigate her involvement in Kenny’s death? Cordova’s presence in Wellsbury is definitely something that needs to be addressed in season 2.

Will Joe Ever Confess His Feelings?

Joe Leans Across the counter of Blue Farm to talk to Georgia in Ginny and Georgia

Ginny & Georgia season 1 established a history between Joe and Georgia, who first met as children and reconnected when Georgia moved to Wellsbury. During the season, Joe developed feelings for Georgia and almost confessed them to her, but he chickened out. Joe and Georgia’s relationship is something that needs to be explored further in season 2, especially since Georgia is currently engaged to Paul.

Who Is Marty (And How Does Georgia Know Him)?

During Ginny & Georgia season 1, Georgia was seen talking on the phone to an unseen person named Marty, who got rid of Georgia’s dirty laundry. However, outside these phone calls, Marty was never discussed again. The two clearly have history together, as she referenced events that happened in New Orleans to him, but this was the most evidence the audience gets surrounding Marty’s identity. Who Marty is and his connection to Georgia is something that definitely warrants further exploration in season 2 of Ginny & Georgia.

Will Nick Sell Out Georgia?

Throughout season 1 of Ginny & Georgia, Georgia embezzled money from the mayor’s office to keep her family afloat, which was called out by Cynthia Fuller during the mayoral election. Luckily, no one at the mayor’s office believed Cynthia, but after she was escorted out of the office, Nick revealed to Georgia that he knew Cynthia was telling the truth. Though he did nothing with this information in the Netflix show’s first season, it is possible he could say something to Paul or use it to blackmail Georgia. This will certainly be a source of tension between Georgia and Nick during season 2 of Ginny & Georgia.

Will Ginny Choose Hunter Or Marcus (Or Neither)?

Felix Mallard and Antonia Gentry in Ginny and Georgia on Netflix

One of the most central plot points of Ginny & Georgia season 1 was the love triangle between Ginny, Marcus, and Hunter. Hunter and Ginny broke up at the end of season 1 when he found out that she had been with Marcus. However, after Marcus referred to their relationship as a “mistake,” he and Ginny did not end up together either. Ginny did not seem focused on her relationships with either boy at the end of the season 1 finale, but the love triangle between the three characters of the Netflix Original has been a vital part of Ginny & Georgia, and it should definitely be revisited in season 2.

Where Will Season 2 Take Place?

Austin, Georgia, and Ginny survey their new house for the first time in Ginny & Georgia

Season 1’s setting of the town of Wellsbury is an important aspect of Ginny & Georgia, providing the Miller family with a fresh start. After the season 1 finale when Ginny and Austin left the idyllic town, the only family member left in Wellsbury was Georgia, which begs the question of where the second season of the show will take place. Since Ginny and Austin left town, it is possible that the second season could follow their adventures outside Wellsbury. However, Wellsbury is as important an aspect of Ginny & Georgia as the titular characters, and whether it will still serve as the Netflix show’s setting is something that needs to be answered in season 2 of Ginny & Georgia.
