One of the big tasks players have in Indiana Jones & The Great Circle is collecting 50 Ancient Relics throughout the game. Once players have them, they will want to know what to do with them and why they are important. Getting through it might be difficult, but there is a reward for players who do. Players will need to gather them all, find and solve a secret puzzle, and then find what's awaiting them on the other side.

One of the best parts of the game is the way you collect treasures and solve puzzles in Indiana Jones & The Great Circle. It feels like you are actually on an adventure with the famous archaeologist, and you will want to gather everything you can in order to finish the main story and get the bonuses locked behind other collectibles. The Ancient Relics are one of these items, and it will likely take you until the end of the game to find them all.

What The Ancient Relics Are Used For In The Great Circle

Completing The Collection & Finding Out What To Do With Them

Ancient Relics are found as part of the Riddles of the Ancients questline, and you will find them scattered across the map in a fair number of places. They are usually locked behind some sort of puzzle, and players will have to search long and hard to find them all. Players can usually find a map in each location in Indiana Jones & The Great Circle they travel to that can show them where the different Ancient Relics are.

Indiana Jones And The Great Circle Review: Already A Priceless Artifact

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle valiantly attempts to recapture what makes the movies special, and like Indy himself, it usually lands on its feet.

Without these guides, it’ll be hard to find them but it is possible. Once you have solved them all and collected all 50 Ancient Relics, players will have to take them to the final area of the game and into a puzzle room. This puzzle room is where the Ancient Relics go, and it is what players will be using them for in the final moments of the game.

How Indiana Jones & The Great Circle’s Ancient Relic Puzzle Works

Solving The Riddle The Right Way

The puzzle area is located in Iraq in a quiet tomb. There are four doors with insets in them that you insert the Ancient Relics into. The direction you insert them in does matter, but the general idea is that when you put them in, the dots around the Ancient Relics will be filled in depending on which way the Relic is turned. Once every single dot is covered, you will have the solution.

While this is a hard puzzle, it is possible to solve it just through trial and error. Try turning the Relics in the opposite direction if you still have empty holes, but you are out of Relics. If players turn it to the left, the dots will be filled in a box around the Relic. Turning it to the right fills in the holes in all four directions until there’s a gap.

It can be a fairly long puzzle to solve, but it is extremely satisfying once it is finished. It feels quite good to see the final result, and once the puzzle is finished, the doors will open and players will get to see the fruit of their efforts. To see the final solution, players can check out this video from YouTuber Twigmaster Gaming. Notably, there are several reasons why this puzzle has to be finished in order for players to 100% the game.

What’s Behind The Ancient Relic Puzzle

A Hidden Cutscene & The Final Note

The final cutscene for the relic puzzle in Indiana Jones & The Great Circle

Once the doors are opened, players will get to see a final cutscene. This scene teases a continuation of the ending of Indiana Jones & The Great Circle, which likely takes place in Antarctica. It is likely that this is a teaser for a DLC or a sequel, but players will have to wait to find out for sure on that one. The cutscene doesn’t last long, but it is intriguing. Additionally, at the end of the cutscene, something will be added to Indy’s inventory.

Just a day after launch, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is already breaking Metacritic records for this year’s Xbox releases with its high score.

Depending on the point of the game this is reached, a few other things might happen. A new note is what is added to the player’s inventory, and it is the last note they will need to find in order to get the Archivist trophy. The note itself alludes to the Great Circle Mural from the cutscene. This may well trigger a platinum trophy if the player has done everything else at this point, but otherwise, that is the reward for collecting all 50 Ancient Relics in Indiana Jones & The Great Circle.
