In Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, A Thief's Promise Mystery is hidden in Gizeh, as it is located off the beaten path near the Funerary Temple of Khentkawes I. Throughout each level, there are a variety of mysteries to solve for additional rewards and Adventure Points. Adventure Points can be used to upgrade Indy's combat and exploration abilities, so an Indiana Jones tip I recommend for beginners is to find and complete as many side objectives as you can.

Before embarking on the journey to solve this quest, you'll want to acquire the map of Gizeh from Nuwal, which will help you navigate its burning sands. Several restricted areas on the map are occupied by Nazi soldiers, which Indy needs to either sneak through or wear the proper disguise to get around. A Thief's Promise Mystery is located on the west side of the southwest restricted zone, so here's how to start and solve it.

How To Start A Thief's Promise In Gizeh

Find The Water Pumping Station

Just like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle's Fortune's Reach Mystery, Indy's objective is to locate thieves. However, in order to start A Thief's Promise, you must find a Desertion Report hidden in one of the tents. Then, you'll sneak across the occupied dig site in the Funerary Temple of Khentkawes I.

You can find the Wehrmacht Key and Uniform in a Nazi Watchtower to the north to make infiltrating restricted zones easier.

Make use of the zipline to cross to the south side of the dig site and avoid detection. Once you reach the water pipes, you will notice a flag on the ridge that marks the location of the Water Pumping Station.

Are you surprised by Indiana Jones and the Great Circle's reviews?

The wait for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is finally almost over, and the reviews have been rolling in, with the game currently holding an impressive 87 on Metacritic for both its PC and Xbox Series X/S versions. While I won't say I'm completely surprised by the reviews, I am pleasantly surprised by them, as there was some division over the game's early footage and MachineGames has been something of a mixed bag in recent years, making me all the more excited to suit up as Indy.

Make your way around the rocks to find a hidden entrance to the ruins. Unlike the Seat of Eternity Mystery, Indy can safely climb down this entrance using his whip. Once you have reached the mine shafts, take a look around to find a two-handed melee weapon to break down the stone wall. This will reveal a hidden age that will take Indy further down into the ruins.

How To Solve A Thief's Promise

Defeat Anton Ritter

After breaking down the crumbling stone wall in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, make your way down into the ruins to find the body of the missing soldier. You will find a Mystery Note titled 'Dead Nazi's Note,' which will explain the cause of his disappearance as the result of a betrayal by a fellow soldier.

Indiana Jones & The Great Circle: How To Solve A Snake In The Garden Mystery

Out of the many Mysteries in Indiana Jones & The Great Circle, "A Snake in the Garden" is among the trickiest, requiring you to find a hidden pattern.

This betrayal trapped this soldier, named Wolfgang Schwartz, inside the ruins with little to no air, which eventually resulted in his suffocation. Next to this letter, there is a chest with money inside of it that can be opened by smashing it with a two-handed melee weapon.

Money can be used to purchase Adventure Books that can be read to unlock new abilities.

With the location of the missing soldier discovered, begin to make your way out of the ruins. Before you can leave, Indy will be confronted by Anton Ritter, the man responsible for betraying and killing Wolfgang Schwartz. Anton has a rifle, so make use of your whip to sting his hands, which will prevent him from firing. Using the same two-handed melee weapon you broke the wall with, deliver a strong blow to his head to send him crumpling to the floor, which will complete A Thief's Promise Mystery in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
