Weapon-breaking is a major part of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle's approach to combat, but as luck would have it, there's at least one complete exception to this rule. Although fragile weapons can be a controversial feature in many games, The Great Circle generally makes great use of the concept. Even if a sledgehammer falling apart after a few hits doesn't make very much sense, it adds a lot of impact to the melee, and constantly swapping out weapons makes for an engaging scavenging process and a fun sense of variety.
There are still times when something a little more durable would be nice, though, especially when it comes to some of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle's later areas. When playing on a higher difficulty setting, even taking the moment to grab another weapon after one breaks could spell defeat if cover's been blown. The perfect alternative to this struggle can be found in Sukhothai, and it's entirely possible that it's not the only such option to be found in the game.
One Indiana Jones & The Great Circle Wrench Will Never Break
Finally Some Good Craftsmanship
Wrenches are always a solid option in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, as metal implements tend to be effective, but they usually don't last any longer than the rest. As discovered by Reddit ScreenedSnow84, an exception appears in Sukhothai. A mechanic working on a truck in the Fascist Armory area will use his tool as a fighting implement if Indiana attacks him. As it turns out, Indy stands to benefit from doing the same, since there's no limit to how many blows this particular wrench can withstand.

One Indiana Jones & The Great Circle Feature Will Make You Regret Playing It Like An FPS
Playing Indiana Jones & the Great Circle like a shooter game will make it a much harder experience overall thanks to this combat feature.
The wrench found in the Fascist Armory features a different design from the ones that are typically used as weapons throughout the game, and it shows up in some other environments as a prop that can't be picked up. It's likely that the advantage is an oversight, but it's a fun one to take advantage of. The wrench does a healthy dose of damage, and there are plenty of fascists nearby.
How Unbreakable Weapons Fit Into The Great Circle
An Interesting Secret That Isn't Transformative
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle's ironclad wrench isn't exactly game-breaking, as the inability to store weapons aside from Indy's standard equipment makes it hard to keep on hand. The truly committed should be able to take it to most locations in Sukhothai, as it's possible to toss weapons in the boat used for transportation before heading out on the water. Whether the prospect is worth the trouble is another question entirely, but it's a neat weapon to know about.

I'm Obsessed With What's Happening In The Background Of Indiana Jones & The Great Circle
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has a lot of great stuff at the forefront, but the game's best quality might be the way it uses other resources.
It's possible that the Fascist Armory's wrench isn't the only unbreakable weapon in the game, and Reddit ThrowMeTheWhip36 mentions a bug that let them keep an unbreakable hammer that a worker needs to get back in Gizeh. Since the wrench model does show up elsewhere, it's also possible that there's another instance or two where it can be put to the same use as in Sukhothai. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is full of secrets and mysteries, and some potentially unintended ones might be just as rewarding to discover.
