Summary
- A LEGO video recreates the plot of Jaws in only 1.5 minutes, making the film more comedic.
- A full-length Jaws LEGO movie in the vein of The LEGO Batman Movie is unlikely.
- Other franchises like Star Wars and Jurassic Park are more obvious candidates to get a full-length LEGO adaptation.
Jaws movies, however, were never able to recapture the magic of the original.
LEGO IDEAS on X, formerly Twitter, now imagines what Jaws would look like in LEGO form in a new video that condenses the movie's whole story down to only 1.5 minutes. Check it out below:
The video recreates many key moments from the film, including important character introductions and a tense shark cage scene, but it does make some changes. One big change, of course, is to the movie's ending, with the LEGO version not featuring the shark being blown up in a hail of gore, but instead zipping off into the sky. Spielberg himself also makes a fun cameo in the video's final moments.
Should A Full-Length LEGO Jaws Movie Happen?
What Problems The Steven Spielberg Movie Faces
Several big franchises have gotten the LEGO treatment over the years, but Batman is the only one to get its own dedicated feature film. Other franchises, like Star Wars, have been reimagined in LEGO form but only for short films and video games. The video above certainly suggests that Jaws, even with its often serious tone and bloody character deaths, could be a fun candidate for a full-length LEGO movie.

Who Dies In Jaws? Every Character Death In The Movie
Jaws remains a terrifying top-tier thriller even today. Here is everyone who dies in Jaws and how they meet their ends in the movie.
That being said, it's unlikely audiences will ever be getting a LEGO Jaws feature film in the vein of The LEGO Batman Movie. For one, the film, while beloved, is almost 50 years old. A character like Batman remains a major figure in the world of pop culture, especially for younger audiences. People under 30 might not have the same relationship to Jaws that they do to Batman, and this would limit a LEGO adaptation's appeal.
Plus, there are two other franchises that really seem like more obvious candidates for a LEGO adaptation. The Jurassic World movies. A LEGO Jaws feature film does seem unlikely, but the video above thankfully adapts a number of key plot points in under two minutes.
