All of the couples from Married at First Sight season 11 have tied the knot, beginning the popular eight-week social experiment. But problems have already begun to arise for two of the newlyweds. After exchanging vows and a brief moment together it appears Henry did not make a memorable first impression on his wife. Christina struggled to her new husband's name...and yet somehow it makes sense.
Christina, 30, and Henry, 35, ed the group of singles ready to take the chance and meet their life partner at the altar. The vibrant, risk-taking flight attendant had expressed her eagerness to meet her soulmate. Although she desired someone different from the guys she's previously dated, it appears she wasn't prepared for someone the exact opposite of her. During the matchmaking process, Henry shared his struggles with confidence and eye , stating that it didn't help his awkward demeanor. On the latest episode, we got an up close visual of how the healthcare recruiter said his shy persona can be perceived...more importantly how his wife responded to it.
Before Christina and Henry exchanged vows it was hard to predict if these newlyweds would last or not, but all that has changed after seeing their first few interactions. It's clear these two are exact opposites, ultimately making for some uncomfortable exchanges. Henry's lack of eye and inability to keep up with Christina's dominant personality is proving to cause some early struggles for the couple. The first problem being Christina not being able to Henry's name. She even referred to him as "Luke" at one point during her diary to the camera. But can she be blamed?
Henry has itted to being awkward and lacking confidence, a personality trait that clearly contrasts those of his outgoing new wife. Henry's calm attitude, in comparison to Christina's, can come off as boring and uninteresting. Christina certainly isn't impressed, considering the fact that when Henry was talking to her she suddenly ed she didn't wear her earrings for the wedding. She then continued to live up to her Married at First Sight nickname, "The Princess Bride" and fix the dire issue by getting her mom to let her borrow hers for the evening.
Christina isn't the only one who's fallen victim to Henry's lacklusterness. A friend at the wedding shared she met Henry on a date but described him as boring and friend-zoned him. It gets worse with the editors of the show only heightening his dullness with tiresome music, making everything he says feel drawn out.
While Christina's actions are alarming, it's somewhat understandable. For starters, they did just meet. Maybe she's bad with names? Also, if everyone says he's boring, can we fault her for zoning out and thinking about her earrings">the experts got this right or not.
