When it comes to testing the boundaries of love The Lifetime Channel's reality series Married at First Sight goes over and beyond with having singles meet at the alter. Those seeking a serious commitment trust the hands of experts who aim to pair them with their soul mate. The social experiment isn't perfect, only having none lasting couples but it has provided some interesting and entertaining matches. For instance, cat lover and Lil' Wayne fan Olivia and serial dater Brett.
Olivia, 30, and Brett, 35, both were born and raised in Louisiana. The two love hopefuls turned to the Married at First Sight experts to help them find their perfect match. While experts thought they would be compatible, fans were left wondering how. This confusion was mainly sourced from Brett and his playboy actions. During the MAFS: Matchmaking Special he itted to dating 45 women in the past few years. Furthermore, his actions leading up to the marriage have been consistent with that lifestyle.
The confident and often sarcastic certified AWS Cloud Practitioner was once engaged and says he desires to be married. According to My Lifetime, the Gretna, Lousiana native believes "historically, arranged marriages have been the primary means of matchmaking for the vast majority of human history." Unfortunately, his behavior hasn't convinced viewers he's serious about being married. From gloating about how attractive he is to asking if his castmate's Bennett's sister is single, Brett made himself the villain of the season 11.
Brett's persona seems completely different from what Olivia stated she preferred. Outside of their love for cats the two have different views on kids, finances, and religion. Brett prefers to stay home and save while the nurse practitioner wants someone who will go out and do things with her. She's shared she spends about $500 on dinner outings and wants to explore the world more. Initially, Olivia felt her and her hubby was a good match but recently she's itted to a friend and fellow castmate Amani the chemistry isn't quite there yet.
As the series continues fans are hoping Olivia gets more of a glimpse of the Brett they saw prior to the wedding. When the incriminating episodes aired she itted she was shocked to see how Brett was flirting at his bachelor party. She's also shared she believes he has "layers" that can be confusing. Olivia is still hopeful but rumor has it fans may get their wish. According Soap Dirt Brett was spotted in Florida without his wedding ring with a brunette woman. Could it be the couple has split?
