Good news for My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is almost here. Set to release this April 7, 2025, the new series will fill the gap of My Hero Academia content since the manga's conclusion on August 5, 2024.

A new illustration has just been released on X, featuring one of the spin-off anime's most pivotal characters, the vigilante Knuckleduster. The drawing was posted by one of the Vigilantes manga artists and offers fans a teaser of the mysterious new hero they will be introduced to on-screen soon.

New My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Art Has Been Released

A Manga Artist’s Drawing of Knuckleduster Increases Enthusiasm Surrounding the New Anime Adaptation

Knuckleduster, also called High-Speed Hero: O' Clock, looks more menacing than ever in @bet10co10's illustration, staring off to the side with a frustrated, pensive expression and smoking a cigarette while holding a bag in one hand and a newspaper in the other. This character has often been referred to as My Hero Academia's version of Batman, the crime-fighting DC character, and this description suits him well. Knuckleduster's backstory is tragic, and reveals some of Hero Society's greatest issues, following the Vigilantes hero as he boldly takes justice into his own hands after a life-altering event.

The My Hero Academia: Vigilantes character may be Quirkless now, but he was not always lacking a power. All For One, My Hero Academia's most evil villain, stripped Knuckleduster of his ability, selfishly stealing it for himself. Knuckleduster was enraged by this act and refused to step down from his job as a hero, continuing to fight without a Quirk. Since people are not permitted to be Pro Heroes in My Hero Academia unless they have a Quirk, Knuckleduster became a vigilante hero, keeping the streets safe from villains without the permission or oversight of Hero Society any longer.

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Will Release on April 7, 2025

In Addition to the New Prequel Spin-Off, Season Eight of the Original Anime Is Coming Fall 2025

Based on a spin-off manga that ran from August 20, 2016 – May 28, 2022, and encomed 15 volumes, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes hones in on a different, more secretive side of Hero Society, following those individuals who, for their own individual reasons, cannot become official Pro Heroes but still want to fight crime in their own way. Koichi Haimawari, known as The Skycrawler, Iwao Oguro, known as Knuckleduster, and Kazuho Haneyama, known as Pop☆Step, form an unlikely but effective vigilante hero team, battling villains together. The anime adaptation of this manga has been in the making for a while, and is now finally almost here.
