A new Special Illustration Rare for Pokémon TCG sets has been revealed, and it is already expected to be a hot commodity. Back in March, Pokémon TCG's Journey Together set included some Special Illustration Rare cards featuring Pokémon Black and White antagonist N, which were highly sought after. As this new Special Illustration Rare also features N, some Pokémon TCG players are already predicting that it will be just as difficult to find.

PokéBeach revealed the Special Illustration Rare, N's Plot. The card features a close-up of N looking at the sky with a soft-focused image of a Ferris wheel behind him. According to a post on the site's forum, the card will likely be difficult to find, with one going so far as to say:

This looks so pretty, yet another N card that will be impossibly hard to get though..

It's clear that players are expecting this new N card to be just as highly sought-after as the last batch.

N's Plot Special Illustration Rare Appears Online From July 2025 Set

Pokémon Sets Black Bolt and White Flare Are Set To Be Released On June 6, 2025 In Japan

N's Plot will be part of the Pokémon TCG sets Black Bolt and White Flare. These dual sets release on June 6, 2025 exclusively in Japan, and the English version of these sets will be released on July 18, 2025. The sets feature all 156 unique Unova region Pokémon that were first introduced in Pokémon Black and White. These games are unique as they were the first ones since the original Pokémon Red and Blue to have a fully unique Pokédex.

In addition to the Special Illustration Rare for N's Plot, we have also seen an Illustration Rare card for the Pokémon Unfezant. The art on this card is beautifully done and features a scene of a male and female Unfezant in their nest. While the card looks great, it doesn't seem as though it doesn't seem to have generated as much hype as N's Plot.

Why N's Plot Will Be Difficult To Obtain For Black Bolt & White Flare

N Is A Popular Pokémon Character, And Special Illustration Rares Are Already Hard To Find

Pokémon TCG players expect N's Plot to be difficult to find based on how hard it was to obtain the Special Illustration Rare cards featuring N from Journey Together. Special Illustration Rares are already hot commodities and tend to be the kinds of cards players either hold onto or flip at high prices. Add to that the fact that N is one of Pokémon's most popular villains, and it's not surprising that N's Plot is expected to be another card that will be tough to find.

In of trying to find one of these cards in a pack, pull rates for Special Illustration Rares are usually pretty low compared to most other styles of cards in a set, with only Hyper Rare cards being more difficult to find. The rising popularity of Pokémon's secondary market has also made it difficult to find reasonably priced packs. Scalpers buy up boxes to resell, and some stores have even raised their prices to match the inflated secondary market value. Pokémon TCG players, therefore, don't just have to be lucky to pull this card, but to even find packs.
