That's not what she's saying at all. She's saying that male writers tend to hold back on giving Diana flaws because they're under more of a microscope than female writers would be. And she's pointing out that's not exactly fair, nor is it something that happens all the time. She also says it comes down to whether the writer actually likes the character or not. Somehow people are interpreting this as an attack.

She gave Chistory wings because the Wizard revealed to her that he watched birds "so longingly". The others getting it was a side effect, not realizing her own strength. While that's a great addition to the novels, a different reason was clearly implied in the film.
