The reason I watched Young Sheldon was for the ensemble cast. I loved them all. Unfortunately, Sheldon was present also. By the time of Young Sheldon, I had my fill of him from Big Bang. As an adult, he was exhausting. As a child, I couldn't bear him. Yes, I realize he was gifted, but the arrogance was more than I could take. I look forward to the new show.

The Big Bang Theory’s Worst Character Change Wasn’t Sheldon Or Leonard’s Arc

Penny was the only character to mature through the years of BBT. The guys seemed to be stuck in teen adolescence. I shared Penny's befuddled looks at them many times. I would have loved Young Sheldon without Sheldon.

Meemaw & Dale's Fate After Young Sheldon's Ending Was Already Hinted At In Big Bang Theory

I found throughout this series that I grew fond of every character...except Sheldon. He grated on my last nerve even more so than in The Big Bang Theory. He's just obnoxious. I'm sorry, but obnoxious is the kindest word I can muster for Sheldon Cooper.
