See AllI’ve Realized What The Final Reckoning Is Really About, And It Fixes The Big Problem With All Those Mission: Impossible Callbacks
the problem is this isnt the first movie to evoke the "I am the otter of your pain " trope in recent years , trying to link every single movie in the past up in a master plan that have someone be revealed to behind their suffering , nor is the only one in recent year to call back to something from decades ago and revealed that some one is their "father's, brother's, nephew's, cousin's, former roommate". this two tropes are overused in recent franchise movies (i'm looking at you Hanno Acacius and Macrinus) . the movie is 50% nostalgia, 50% insane play , 50% even more insane aerial gymnastics (can he just stick to doing stunts on Earth please) , 50% geopolitical shennigans (really? CIA director become President? All the world is going to be saved by horcruxing the Entity? ) and 50% of the above tropes . yes it feels like its 250% of the first Mission Impossible even though its only 150% the length
