See All"A Singular Genius In Cinema": Hollywood Mourns The ing Of Legendary Writer/Director David Lynch
I love cinema and it's possibilities as a multimodal artistic medium. I love many directors' work but Dave has had and will always have a unique place in my cinephile's heart. Because his vision of what cinema could be was unique. As a man he was unique. And his ing is uniquely devastating.
Fly among the stars, Dave, because you will forever remain a bright star in the cinematic firmament. Your weird, wonderful, paradoxical, magical films will remain immortal.
Love you FE. ❤🥀
“I Said, ‘Just Be Normal’”: Daniel Day-Lewis’ Method Acting & Its Impact On Set Recalled By 1997 Co-Star Brian Cox

“I Said, ‘Just Be Normal’”: Daniel Day-Lewis’ Method Acting & Its Impact On Set Recalled By 1997 Co-Star Brian Cox
Totally agree with Cox. I can't bear to watch DD Lewis in anything, cos he always comes across as "look at me, I'm acting" rather than become the character the way Oldman, Cox etc can and do.
Ditto de Niro and all the method acting mob.
“People Steal, What Can You Do?”: Brian Cox Addresses Anthony Hopkins Taking Over His Career-Defining Stage Role For The 1999 Movie
Cox over Hopkins any day. Cox disappears into his roles, Hopkins is always Hopkins acting out his roles.
“Absolute Nonsense”: Brian Cox Calls Out The Oscars As He Re Gary Oldman’s Win The Year He Also Played Winston Churchill (And Did It “Better”)
I'm reluctant to call anyone or anything "the best or the greatest of all time" but I agree wholeheartedly about Gary Oldman. He utterly morphs and disappears into every role he plays, in contrast to the much vaunted Daniel Day Lewis (and Streep and De Niro...) where it's always "look at me, I'm acting".
