My BF introduced me to this show. Halfway through I realize he had specifically picked this is one for us to watch be I'm an avid reader and this was based on books. The hunt was on. By the time I finally got the books we had finished the series and I was ready to dive into the real story of the Magicians. I have never been so disappointed with a set of books in my life. For the first time the show was better. The books were ok but the show added so much more depth to the characters and the story. The books kind of just told a basic story and fell a little flat. Wish I had read the books first so maybe I could have enjoyed them more, but the series was definitely better.
