Unhurt White person here to say BNW was great. I didn't have sound on the airplane and enjoyed it anyway. It made sense and looked great. Mackie conveyed the story with his expressions very well. And seeing a man he looked up to and realizing he was being manipulated, and saving him ... I could follow it all from just the moving pictures. The cinematography made it feel like I was reading a year's run of a weekly comic book as a kid without knowing all the words.

Of course it helps too that unlike the article author, I am old enough to have seen The Incredible Hulk so I knew who Sterns was... And kudos to Harrison Ford for stepping into the role that William Hurt originated and had hoped to continue through becoming the Red Hulk.

Kirk is noted as 34 in an episode fixed to 2267. Putting his birth in 2233. That put Wrath of he's 50 in 2283. But the official timeline makes it 2285, so maybe he's "celebrating" 52 pickup.

Yes, likely her divorce was invalid, so she and Georgie have to get married again. Thus it can become their second marriage. And then something can happen like the minister who did their second marriage didn't sign the marriage certificate, so they have to get married a third time. Then Sheldon would be the usual literal guy referring to Georgie as being multiply divorced...

At the time it came out, I think many of us felt that without Crispin Glover and without Claudia Wells, something was off. They missed the opportunity of Marty coming back and having Jennifer now suddenly played by Elizabeth Shue perhaps being explained by Doc Brown as "subtle changes to the timeline that have no effect on what has happened"... And creating a fake Crispin in the future was dumb. It would have made more sense to have had them say, "father ed away" and left it at that.

I always thought the prevailing view was that even though Dorothy always had the power, it wasn't activated and available until she went on a traditional "Heroes Journey".

I'm in my 60s and watched Star Trek in the 60s. Getting all bent out of shape about trivial details that were simply fan canon, and not production canon is a great way to waste most of your life.

Knowing Tolkien's linguistics centering, I had always imagined that the blue wizards were set up so one was light blue like the day sky, and the other was dark, dark blue like the night sky. You see English is unique among many languages and not having native single words that are regularly used to differentiate between the shades of blue. Sure we have words like aqua, and cyan, and navy, etc. but those don't cover the whole range of the spectrum we do with the word blue.
