I loved the Narnia books as a child, and read every single one of them over and over.
As I grew up, I realized that the Narnia books were intended to be a form of a Christian parable.
I had originally thought that I was reading a very interesting fantasy series, and I felt like I had been tricked into reading Christian propaganda.
I was a child, and I trusted the author. I had no knowledge of who CS Lewis was, or any of his other works. In hindsight, it seemed obvious.
I can never go back to purely enjoying the fantasy series without it being tainted by it's attempt to indoctrinate me into the Christian religion.
