See All2 Years After BBC's Sherlock Premiered, The Better Version Of The Show Was Released
Wild take to say Elementary > Sherlock. It wasn't even close.
London is an absolute staple of who Sherlock is, Watson's intellectual sleuthing mind being equal to Holmes in Elementary was laughable and obviously done for identity politics with zero regard for the actual history or lore of the characters. In the end Elementary was just a US police procedural disguised as a bad Sherlock knock off. BBC makes something great, the US sees this and says how do we make money? I know! Our people love Chicago: Anything or Law and Order: Anything, lets make that show but put Sherlock in it. Boom Elementary is born. And just for the record I'm an American.
I've loved Screen Rant for years, but how did this uninformed article make it on the site?
