If you put it that way, why would any Sith take on an apprentice?

Much as I think "the rule of 2" is an annoying retcon that makes the original trilogy make less sense, there is a pretty cool moment in Ep 1 where Maul says, "at last we will have our revenge."

Makes it seem like the Sith believe in something greater than themselves. They have to train apprentices, even at their own peril, to keep the Sith ideal alive.

I disagree with almost everything in this article! Sure, the damage gamble is gone but Martials overall closed the gap. 5.24 Monks are WAY better than 5.0! Paladins are still terrific and are half-casters anyway so I don't think they are of much use in illustrating the martial/caster divide.
