It’s rare for Andy Cohen to show any distaste for former stars of Why Fans Think These Real Housewives Kids Could Take Their Parents' Place
“Not The Person I Used To Know.”
Re: Carole Radziwill - RHONY
Carole Radziwill was the perfect housewife when she ed more level-headed former RHONY housewives, with an intriguing storyline of growth.
After six seasons, Carole left the show because of her mental health, according to Page Six. However, it looks like she and Andy didn’t end on a good note. Andy noted that Carole was "not the person I used to know," since she had changed and lived a different life. These comments didn’t sit well with Carole, who later defended herself to Pop Crush. RHONY fans would love to know where the former housewife is now, but it doesn't look like she'll be on Bravo screens for a while.
“In Unrelated News, Jill Zarin Is Closing On New Homes In Potomac, New Jersey, Beverly Hills, Orange County, Atlanta ..."
Re: Jill Zarin - RHONY
Jill Zarin was one of the The Real Housewives of Orange County, he joked that suddenly Jill has bought properties in all the cities where The Real Housewives films by saying, "In unrelated news, Jill Zarin is closing on new homes in Potomac, New Jersey, Beverly Hills, Orange County, Atlanta..."
While in jest, Andy was eluding that Jill would do just about anything to become a housewife again. Alleging how thirsty Jill is was a low blow, and Jill said she would have been upset by the comment if Andy didn’t ask her to be a part of the RHONY: Legacy spin-off. But with RHONY: Legacy on the back burner, Andy's comment was pure shade for the former New York housewife.
“The Idea That Danielle Staub And Dana Wilkey Are The Experts In This Documentary About Erika Is Questionable, At Best.”
Re: Danielle Staub (RHONJ) & Dana Wilkey (RHOBH)
Lisa Rinna may be cringey, but no one was cringier in RHOBH seasons 11 and 12 than Erika Jayne, because of the legal drama she was involved with surrounding her lawyer ex-husband, Tom Girardi. Her ex was allegedly misappropriating millions of dollars in settlement money for his clients to fund his and Erika's expensive lifestyle. This all played out on RHOBH, and the drama revolving around this case went to Hulu with a documentary called The Housewife and the Hustler.
The Hulu documentary described the case in full and had people who were close to the firm and the law. Even two former housewives were featured: two were not friends on The Real Housewives, had no connection to Erika and no new information on her, which was why Andy shaded them. He said on his radio show Andy Cohen Live (via Page Six), “The idea that Danielle Staub and Dana Wilkey are the experts in this documentary about Erika is questionable at best." He continued, “So I kind of realized I wasn’t gonna learn anything new from them about Erika."
“Jennifer Aydin’s Fiberglass Castle That Looks … It Looks To Be Very Expansive But Then You See It’s On Quite A Narrow Lot ...”
Re: Jennifer Aydin - RHONJ
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jennifer Aydin was another housewife who caught some shade from Andy. When the topic of Jennifer and her husband Bill Aydin’s drinking was brought up on an episode of Andy's talk show Watch What Happens Live, Jennifer made light of the situation, which Andy wasn’t fond of. Jennifer felt the condescension from Andy and tweeted, “I guess he has his favorites … and it’s definitely not me, obviously.”
Following her assumption that Andy didn’t like her or her husband, he threw even more shade Jennifer's way while on the podcast home into a RHONJ meme, while Andy said, “Jennifer Aydin’s fiberglass castle that looks… it looks to be very expansive, but then you see it’s on quite a narrow lot."
“I Said What I Said.”
Re: NeNe Leakes - RHOA
Andy insulted former housewife, NeNe Leakes, when The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Eva Marcille was a guest on WWHL, and he showed viewers that she wore the same outfit twice. He said, "By the way, one of NeNe's confessional looks this year is the same dress she wore to our big doorbell show in L.A. where the strap broke, so I guess she fixed her strap, which we love.”
Not only did Eva call Andy “shady” for his remark, but she came after him on Twitter. And while Nene had some great quotes on RHOA, her tweets are some of her shadiest. To follow up on his point, Andy spoke volumes when he tweeted a gif of one of Nene's more popular quotes, “I said what I said.” This response told viewers everything they wanted to know about their current friendship.
“She Stiffed Me. I Was Not Pleased.”
Re: Adrienne Maloof - RHOBH
At the end of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills season 3, former housewife Adrienne Maloof found herself at odds with most of the women on the show. But instead of defending herself on that season's reunion, she skipped it. As the host, Andy revealed in an interview with E! Online that he was “not pleased” about Adrienne's dismissal.
One of the things viewers don’t realize about The Real Housewives reunions is that the women can lose a lot of money from not attending, and there are big consequences, according to US Weekly. Andy clearly felt that Adrienne skipping the reunion was insulting to both him and the network, and he let the world know he was upset. He even went on to say that Adrienne deserved to explain herself and have conversations with the women, but it was senseless for her to not come.
“Reboot Going Great. Feels Like A Return To Form For RHOC…”
Re: Kelly Dodd - RHOC
Kelly Dodd was an outlandish housewife who caused the most drama on The Real Housewives of Orange County. Because of the backlash Andy received around her time on the show, Kelly was eventually fired from RHOC. In fact, she's one of the controversial RHOC housewives who probably regret doing the show due to her zero filter.
After she was fired, Kelly wanted to hit Andy where it hurt and poked fun at RHOC's low viewership when she left. Hilariously, Andy showed his distaste for Kelly by killing her with kindness and the cold hard truth. Andy joyfully gave her a lesson through a tweet in viewership and let her know the network was doing just fine without her. "Good morning! Reboot going great. Feels like a return to form for #RHOC. Look at the delayed numbers, not live. That’s what’s measured," he tweeted.
“She’s Been Talking About That It’s Toxic ... And Now She’s Doing A Housewives’ Recap Podcast!”
Re: Bethenny Frankel - RHONY
Bethenny Frankel was an original housewife from RHONY season 1, and she really became successful from her time on the series. In many ways, Bethenny's best and most relatable quotes on RHONY showed that she was the voice of the audience and from this, she created a multi-million dollar business and eventually left the show. But the savvy quick talker has since degraded the show, hurting Andy and her former housewives all the more.
The two have taken jabs at each other in the media, which has led to Andy shading Bethenny about her new business venture she launched: a rewatch podcast called ReWives which revolved around The Real Housewives. Considering how often Bethenny insulted the series, Andy took no time to show his disdain for her new idea. According to Page Six, he said, “I was surprised at that because she’s been trashing the show for the last three years.” He continued by saying, “You know, she’s been talking about that it’s toxic and it’s this and every bad thing you can think, and now she’s doing a ‘Housewives’ recap podcast!”
