Industry insider Dusk Golem, who's correctly reported on RE-related news in the past, recently claimed Capcom had several RE games in development as of late 2018, including remakes for 2, 3, 4, the still mysterious Outrage, RE Village, and RE9. In a subsequent post on the matter, Dusk Golem noted RE9 may not be ready until sometime in 2024. Even then, it's possible the game will have drastically changed by then, since precedent within the series shows that reboots aren't exactly uncommon.

Of the games listed by Dusk Golem, RE4, Outrage, and RE9 are those that Capcom has yet to formally announce. However, both RE4 and Outrage were leaked due to the Capcom data breach late last fall. RE9 is even more of a mystery, then, though it could constitute the Resident Evil Hank title that the leak suggested will launch by the end of 2024.

Questions about what RE Outrage may entail continue to linger, as well. Though, interestingly enough, reporting from Dusk Golem last month alleged the project is a Code Veronica-style adventure starring returning protagonists. But, as is always the case, fans would do well to take all of the above with a grain of salt for the time being.
