An incredibly authentic Mother Miranda in Resident Evil Village is both regal and terrifying, and now a talented fan has perfectly recreated the witch's look.
Reddit Cocobeware18 recently shared a glimpse at their amazing Mother Miranda cosplay, which brings the Resident Evil Village antagonist back to life. Miranda's regal attire includes gray robes, an embroidered sash and a large circular headpiece that makes her resemble a twisted holy figure. The nefarious witch also has a set of black feathered wings even in her most humanoid form, and Cocobeware18 has expertly recreated these appendages to complete the cosplay. The photo even calls to mind Resident Evil Village's gothic European setting by placing Miranda in front of a large steepled building.
Mother Miranda's Influence Extends Outside Of RE Village
While she was first introduced to the franchise last year, Resident Evil Village connects Mother Miranda to Umbrella and other parts of the franchise's long-running narrative. The game reveals that Miranda was actually born in the late 1800s, with exposure to a fungus called The Mold granting her great longevity while corrupting her mind. Striving to resurrect her daughter Eva, Miranda became a genius biologist and actually served as a mentor to Oswell Spencer. Spencer would go on to co-found the Umbrella Corporation, which is the Resident Evil franchise's most infamous and prolific antagonist, making Mother Miranda possibly the oldest and most influential villain in the entire series.

Yekaterina Lisina's Resident Evil Village Lady Dimitrescu cosplay can help give the wicked witch some company, thankfully, as it flawlessly recreates the iconic vampire's design. Measuring in at 9 feet 6 inches, the villainous bloodsucker is notoriously tall and has drawn the attention of many players since her first reveal. While many cosplayers may have trouble reaching anywhere close to Lady Dimitrescu's inhuman stature, Olympic athlete and model Yekaterina Lisina comes close at 6 feet 9 inches.
Resident Evil Village introduced players to a colorful assortment of terrifying villains, but Mother Miranda reigns supreme as the ringleader of the game's entire plot. Miranda's design reflects both her regal status and supernatural power, and Cocobeware18 has flawlessly captured that vibe in their cosplay.
