Hulu and Disney+ just released new behind-the-scenes photos revealing that David Tennant's hit series Tony, Lord Baddingham (David Tennant) at the Corinium television station.
Set in the mid-1980s, this British period drama features plenty of scandal and humor as its characters engage in affairs and catty, but entertaining behavior. Rivals quickly developed a fan following, receiving critical acclaim and landing a score of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. On May 21, 2025, Hulu offered fans a glimpse at Rivals' second season, sharing three behind-the-scenes photos on their official X page.
Alongside two photos of Rivals cast Alex Hassell, Nafessa Williams, Aidan Turner, and Bella Maclean, Hulu shared the caption: "Back on set and ready for more action. Season 2 of #Rivals is now in production." In a comment on the post, Hulu added a photo of Danny Dyer and Victoria Smurfi, encouraging viewers to stream season 1 on Hulu or Disney+.

Although nothing has been revealed about the plot of Rivals season 2, the story will presumably pick up where the bloody cliffhanger of the show's first season left off. Although David Tennant does not appear in the above photos, he has been confirmed as a cast member for Rivals season 2.
