This article contains spoilers for Sex Education season 4.Though it is the last season of Sex Education season 4 being the final season, it provided a perfect final dose of awkwardness, drama, and the type of joy one feels when they are finally understood.
Sex Education season 4 picks up where season 3 left off, with the Moordale crew starting up at new schools or professions. At the trendy Cavendish College, Otis finds competition in the student sex therapy business, while Eric finds a new group of cool friends. Maeve starts up at Wallace University, but finds that her writing teacher isn't as complimentary as she had hoped. Finally, Jean acclimates to raising Joy along with returning to work, but finds that she needs a bit more help than she wants. Each Sex Education main character sets off toward their final destination with the perfect soundtrack lighting their way.
Sex Education Season 4, Episode 1
"Take Care of Business" by Nina Simone: This sweeping Nina Simone number introduces Sex Education season 4. Maeve watches a couple making out and decides to send Otis nude photos of herself, sending Otis into a panic.
"Close To Me" by The Cure: Upbeat and joyful, this rock hit plays while Cal explains how they feel after 6 months on testosterone, including their increased sex drive. Aimee experiments with sex toys.
"Boyfriend (Repeat)" by Confidence Man: As Otis sets up his sex therapy clinic, this song plays.
"Lilac and Black" by Ezra Furman: This song briefly plays as Ruby and Michael eat lunch in the bathroom, feeling dejected by Cavendish.
"Rain or Shine" by Five Star: As Eric puts on makeup before being interrupted by his mother, this synth-heavy bop plays.
"Forever in Sunset" by Ezra Furman: This inspirational song plays as Otis and Maeve get intimate over the phone, ending the episode.
Sex Education, Season 4, Episode 2
"China In Your Hand" by T'Pau: Jackson hooks up with a girl and is met with a surprise as this song plays in the background.
"Work That Body" by Diana Ross: Otis goes to the gym at Cavendish to gain muscle and impress Maeve, but gets sidetracked by Jackson's sex problems instead.
"I'm Coming Home, Pt. 1" by The Staple Singers: This country-esque tune plays as Eric attends his first baptism class at his church.
"Hold On, I'm Coming" by Sam And Dave: Jackson has another hook-up with the same girl, this time confident in what she wants to do, and this song plays triumphantly.
"I Believe In Miracles" by The Jackson Sisters: This funky song plays over a montage of Otis meeting all of his new sex therapy clients after helping Abbi and Roman with their fight.
"I Wanna Be Your Dog" by The Stooges: At the end of the episode, this song plays when Otis calls Ruby, taking up her offer to help him with the sex counselor election.
Sex Education, Season 4, Episode 3
"She Used To Wanna Be A Ballerina" by Buffy Sainte-Marie: At the top of the episode, this song plays during a flashback to Ruby's childhood at a sleepaway camp.
"Way I Walk" by The Cramps: This rock song plays as Otis gets ready for school, dressing to impress with a gauzy purple dress shirt.
"Dance Across The Floor" by Jimmy "Bo" Horne: Abbi, Roman, and Aisha help Eric get ready for Queer Night and discuss their trouble with having straight friends.
"Respectable" by Mel and Kim: This song plays at Roman's house as Eric uninvites Otis from Queer Night.

"Faith" by George Michael: This song plays when Eric wakes up from his dream, realizing how strange it was.
"Tell You" by Loose ts: Cal and Aisha make out during art class in the bathroom.
"With or Without You" by U2: At Erin's funeral, this song plays as Otis, Eric, Jackson, and Adam bring in her casket. Colin also plays a piano version of this song at the end of the funeral.
"The Gnome" by Pink Floyd: This very timely song plays as Aimee spots a pyramid of gnomes on her way home and begins taking photos of them.
"Strawberry Letter 23" by Shuggie Otis: As Maeve and Otis fail once again to have sex, this song plays out the end of the episode.

"I Got A Name" by Jim Croce: During a flashback to Jean's tumultuous childhood, this song plays during a party her mother is hosting.
"Push" by Pharoahe Monch: Cal gives another transition update, this time discussing their gender dysphoria after hooking up with Aisha.
"Youth Against Fascism" by Sonic Youth: The students at Cavendish refuse to take their A-levels until the elevator is fixed for Isaac.
"Volunteers" by Jefferson Airplane: Cavendish continues their strike while this song plays.
"Last Goodbye" by Jeff Buckley: When Otis and Maeve decide that it is time for them to break-up to pursue their own lives, they finally sleep together in a very romantic moment.
"This Time Tomorrow (In The Canyon Haze) by Brandi Carlile: As Maeve spreads her mom's ashes with Isaac and Aimee, this song plays.
Sex Education, Season 4, Episode 8
"2 Become 1" by Spice Girls: Roman plans a romantic night with Abbi to this song, but a fire ruins the mood.
