Robyn Brown, and it sounds like the two women are no longer close. Meri, 53, was the first wife of polygamist patriarch Kody Brown's first wife. The couple married in 1990 and had one child together. Robyn, 45, was Kody's fourth wife. They married in 2010, and had five children together, including three from Robyn's previous marriage.

Meri was actually the one who introduced Kody to Robyn and encouraged him to court her. For many years, the relationship between the two women worked. Meri and Robyn were close allies within the Brown family. In many ways, it was Robyn who kept Meri from leaving the marriage sooner. When Meri divorced Kody during Sister Wives season 19, her relationship with Robyn fell apart, but Meri itted to there being tension long before then.

"There Was A Divide"

During Sister Wives season 19, Meri and her best friend, Jenn Sullivan, discussed Meri's relationship with Robyn. "There's so many people that are like she was a fraud, she was a liar, she was manipulating," Meri says of Robyn. Meri itted that her relationship with Robyn had deteriorated. "We were very close. And then it started, there was a divide," she says. Jenn reminded Meri, "She'd act like she was your best friend, and then completely ignore you and hurt your feelings." Meri went on to accuse Robyn of ghosting her for months.

Robyn married Kody because she wanted to live a polygamous lifestyle. After Christine Brown and Janelle Brown left Kody in 2021 and 2022 respectively, Robyn was desperate for Meri to stay. During Sister Wives season 19, Robyn looked back at the past, saying, "I always had Meri's back." According to Robyn, she never felt any divide between them. Meri used to always defend Robyn, but things have clearly changed.

During a recent interview on the Instead of Meri defending Robyn, like she would have done in the past, Meri itted to there being tension between the former Sister Wives. Now that Meri is out of her dysfunctional relationship with Kody, it's time to it that she probably can't be friends with her ex-husband's fourth wife.
