Kody's blatant favoritism towards Robyn contributed to Robyn feeling excluded by the other wives.
Not only did the family have to welcome Robyn and her children, they allegedly also had to absorb Robyn's debts from her previous marriage. Of course, Robyn ended up being Kody's sole wife, as former wives Christine Brown, Janelle Brown and Meri Brown all left Kody within a few years. However, questions about Robyn's first marriage to David Jessop continue to swirl because, while Robyn has characterized her first marriage as very toxic, the real issue that led to their divorce may have been financial.

Robyn attributed the debt to mounting financial challenges she faced after leaving her first marriage. She also said that she took on marital debt to keep the peace in her first marriage. If the marriage was deeply troubled, then Robyn taking on debt to keep the peace makes sense.

Perhaps the Sister Wives stars will become quieter about their financial lives. If they are, there may be less scrutiny moving forward.
