The patriarch of The Brown family's polygamous lifestyle has taken a turn since no one seems especially happy with the situation anymore. Kody is starting to grate on his wives' and viewers' nerves, mostly due to his chauvinistic tendencies. For seasons, the father of 18 has made life-altering decisions without the total of his four spouses.

For example, Kody uprooted his family from the cul-de-sac in Las Vegas for a move to Flagstaff. No one was ever sure of the reason, but the family did buy a plot of land, which they have failed to utilize. Coyote sits uninhabited, a wasteland, and is a metaphor for Kody's love life. While Kody has openly started to express his negative feelings about Meri, Christine, Janelle, and Robyn, the women are making sure to get a few quips in, too.

There have been several times in recent months that each wife had gotten in a few verbal shots. Christine has been the most vocal about her disdain for Kody. Back in November, she announced she would no longer be taking part in their union, instead moving back to Utah to be with her family. During the couple's communication breakdown, Christine stopped talking to Kody since she couldn't deal with his negativity. At one point, she also said she had no reason to live on Coyote with a "dysfunctional marriage." Kody's second wife, Janelle, has also recently become fired up while speaking to her husband. During a recent episode, she told him to "F**k off" when he brought up his COVID-19 rules.

When it comes to Meri, she mainly has kept to herself. The mother of one has noted that she and Kody are just friends and that he doesn't want a romantic relationship with her at this point. Robyn has been the most steadfast in her marriage with Kody, hardly ever speaking out against him. The most Robyn has said was when she tried to defend herself after being accused of manipulating Kody. She has also itted that her family is "crumbling," but that was less about Kody specifically and more about the shift in the family dynamic.

The current season of Sister Wives shows the Browns navigating the turmoil that the pandemic has caused. Kody has not seen most of his children in months, instead choosing to shack up with Robyn for most of the time. Viewers can empathize with each wife and their frustrations since most feel Kody has done a poor job at keeping his family together. Needless to say, there will most likely be some more unkind words exchanged before the season comes to a close.
