Will Bruce Horak Appear In Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3?

Strange New Worlds season 3 has wrapped filming.

Bruce Horak is a beloved member of ' cast, but it's unknown whether he will return in Strange New Worlds season 3. Horak's Lt. Hemmer was always meant to die in Strange New Worlds season 1 to establish stakes among the crew of the USS Enterprise, but the wise, blind Aenar unexpectedly became a breakout character. Horak reprised Hemmer in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2, episode 6, "Lost in Translation," appearing in archival footage and as a zombie version of Hemmer. Finally, Horak delighted audiences as the singing and dancing Klingon General Garkog in Strange New Worlds' musical.

Lt. Hemmer was replaced by Commander Pelia (Carol Kane) as the USS Enterprise's Chief Engineer in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2.

Bruce Horak noting that he's "lobbying" to bring back General Garkog seems to indicate that the singing Klingon doesn't appear in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3. It's not clear if Lt. Hemmer can somehow make another appearance in Strange New Worlds season 3, since his protégé, Ensign Nyota Uhura (Celia Rose Gooding), has begun moving past mourning her mentor. However, it's quite possible Bruce Horak will reappear as a brand new character in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3. But General Garkog definitely needs an encore, especially if he and his soldiers have kept up their K-pop band as Bruce Horak suggests.
