Ex Machina is ridiculously good and features my favorite Oscar Isaac performance. The film slowly cranks up the tension and by the end, I had no idea what was going to happen. The dance scene is cinematic perfection.

Amazing visuals don't quite make up for the lackluster story in Alex Garland's feature, a recurring problem the director has. Oscar Isaac steals the show as always as an insane tech genius billionaire who plays with people and robots alike, believing himself to be completely in control.

This is Alex Garland at some of the finest work of his career! This only ages better over time as AI has become a significant part of discussions. Great performances all around, and great use of setting.
