Everyone is at the absolute top of their game here - a Stephen King story adapted by William Goldman and directed by Rob Reiner HAS to hit, especially with Kathy Bates and James Caan putting in incredible performances. A movie you must see in your lifetime.

Kathy Bates excels in this Stephen King adaptation. The tension, thrills, and terror are perfectly balanced, giving Misery a strong ebb and flow. The plot is well thought out and entertaining, making it easy to watch without getting bored or distracted.

If I had to pick a favorite Stephen King adaptation, it'd have to be this one. A lot of praise goes to Kathy Bates, but props to the camera angles, haunting visuals, and atmosphere.
