Synopsis
Ozark is a drama-thriller that follows the Byrde family’s journey from their everyday, suburban Chicago life to their dangerous criminal enterprise in the Ozarks, Missouri. When financial advisor Marty Byrde sees a money-laundering scheme for a prolific Mexican drug cartel go wrong, he is forced to launder $500 million in five years to keep himself and his family safe. The series explores capitalism, family dynamics, and survival through the eyes of (anything but) ordinary Americans.

This iis one of the most gripping TV shows I've ever watched. Its performances are incredible, with Laura Linney and Jason Bateman delivering the best. Also, the characters are well-developed yet complex; they kept me invested in their fates. My favourite season is season 3, where the plot twists and the tension reaches new heights.

Really hoping for a 5th season and even more. Watched Ozark twice and wanting more. It left off where Ruth could have been shot but did not die. Please do more seasons.

A relatively fun Breaking Bad-alike, Ozark ultimately doesn't have the actors to achieve the same heights. Julia Garner is fantastic as Ruth, but Jason Bateman just doesn't have the range for this kind of drama, which is a pretty big flaw when you're playing the main character.
