I've been reading all my Shang - Chi comic books. I'm so glad that a movie was made. Now I can add the excellent movie Shang - Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings to my comic collection. Thank You!

Shang-Chi was action-packed, interesting, and one of the better movies to come out of the recent lineup of Marvel films. I was interested throughout the movie's runtime and eager to see what would happen next, instantly becoming drawn into the world the movie created.

Really enjoyed this movie.

Shang-Chi is a underappreciated feature in the post-Infinity Saga MCU. A standalone feature set on bringing another little-known character to screens, the action is on-point, it has one of the strongest villains in the franchise thanks to Tony Leung's Wenwu, and its heart is on point. I can't help but feel for all of these characters, and even moments cut from the movie exemplify this strong emotional core. It would be a crime to not give these characters further exploration.

As a Wuxia fan, I really love this film. As a Wong Kar Wai fan, I love Tony Leung. Insane that he is in an MCU film. The fight scenes are spectacular throughout and it was quite heartfelt and funny. Simu Liu is a solid actor and would fit right in alongside some of the bigger names in the MCU.

Shang-Chi isn't one of my favorite comic book characters, so I was surprised to find this becoming one of my favorite MCU movies when I first watched it. It's always interesting to explore vastly different corners of the MCU since so many of the Phase 1 movies felt rooted in the same area. Shang-Chi gives the audience the backstory for a warlord, a new mystical object, and a whole new culture to explore on screen. I genuinely hope we get to revisit this corner since it seems like any kind of sequel keeps getting pushed back.

Shang-Chi is a movie that helps to redefine the MCU after the Infinity Saga. In no small part, the film's star, Simu Liu, makes this movie into what it is as he throws himself, body and sould into the role of Shang-Chi.

The movie is action-packed, proving that superhero movies don't have to stay within the lines of sci-fi and fantasy, as it imbues martial arts and culture beyond what has been seen in the MCU up to this point.

Shang-Chi has some great visuals, but it inherently abandons what's cool about the character. The movie invents a huge amount wholecloth - including his powers - but the alterations feel generic and fake. The MCU has an issue with origins and showing every character as a neophyte character, which is inherently at odds with the idea of Shang-Chi's skill. Turning him from the world's greatest martial artist into a regular Joe who inherits a mystic weapon. That said, Simu Liu plays the part he's given well, and his friendship with Awkwafina's Katy feels genuine.

Nothing but joy

This is fun and the action scene on the bus is great. But never mind that, let's just look at Tony Leung. Ahh. Waiting for the sequel, Shang-Chi's Handsome Dad Wears Bracelets and Fights Dragons.

I think quite a lot of people wrote this movie off as Marvel's diversity project, but it is genuinely a good debut for Shang-Chi. It was the right mix of action, humor, and complex family dynamics along with the beautiful world of Ta Lo. I'm so happy with Xialing's ending and I'm hoping that means that she's being setup for some future MCU involvement since she was one of my favorite parts of the movie. I'm also really glad this this film made the West appreciate Tony Leung since he is such an iconic actor that I grew up on.
