Excellent addition to horror films. Not so great that it won't be a sequel 😭

As someone who is very fond of the Zombie horror subgenre, World War Z is the biggest disappointment I have ever seen put to screen when it comes to adapting a zombie apocalypse to the screen. Rather than focusing on the fascinating geo-political world of the novel that inspired it, everything is diluted into a race against time, forgoing the war and turning it into a subpar survival narrative. With this, the expansive world and cast is taken away, limited to Brad Pitt's character and his journey. I do feel World War Z could work as a movie with the right team of directors, perhaps in a Grindhouse-inspired multi-director project, but I fear this movie may have created bad press around the property,
