Two stars from The White Lotus season 3 characters were quickly embroiled in drama within the story itself, as Thailand proved to be nothing more than a haven for drama. Unfortunately, there have also been rumors that some of the stars began to develop a conflict on-set, leading to a tense filming environment.
Jason Isaacs, who played Timothy Ratliff, took to Instagram to mock those rumors. His post focuses on a post-finale reunion with Walter Goggins (Rick Hatchett), as the two share a moment of affection at the airport. Check out his post below:
The post features two images, which each depict Goggins and Isaac enjoying a warm reunion. The two hug at first, before Isaacs turns to kiss Goggins on the forehead in a very public show of familiarity. Isaacs commented, "Hey, all you genius online sleuths - see any beef?!!", referring to those rumors of an ongoing conflict between the cast.
What Isaac's Post Means For White Lotus' Cast
It Was Not As Tense As It Seemed
Rumors of on-set tension have been ongoing since production first began, and Isaacs has commented on it before. On the Happy Hour radio show, Isaacs itted, "Like anywhere you go for the summer, there's friendships, there's romances, there's arguments, there's cliques that form and break and reform and stuff like that." While he confessed the existence of those cliques, he also targeted the "online sleuths" who attempted to uncover every detail of the production. While tensions did exist, he emphasized that they were largely between the cast and crew and were driven by uncomfortably hot weather.
It does not dispute the idea of other cast having ongoing arguments with co-stars.
The "sleuths" were only emboldened after Aimee Lou Wood (Chelsea) seemingly blocked her in-show love interest, Goggins, on Instagram after The White Lotus season 3 ended. While Isaacs acknowledges that speculation is natural, he lashed out at the idea of publicly debating potential on-set controversies and conflicts. His post with Goggins is evidence that he does not necessarily have any disdain for his co-star, though it does not dispute the idea of other cast having ongoing arguments with co-stars.
Our Take On The Alleged White Lotus Tensions
It Doesn't Necessarily Matter
Even if actors do have arguments while filming, Isaacs is perfectly correct when he explains that it does not matter. Ahead of The White Lotus season 4, cast who played the season's survivors could be preparing to appear again, and others could simply walk away from the show completely. Regardless of what the set looked like, the season was brilliant, and the cast escaped without major issues. Even if there were one or two conflicts, Isaacs evidently believes that any major arguments have been fully resolved, and that is what matters more than anything else.
